    • A simple and fast ice maker!
My wife asked me to buy an ice maker because it would be convenient for family gatherings, birthday parties, etc. Now, we have a refrigerator with an ice maker feature. However, we host most (90%) of social events in our sizeable backyard, and we put food, drink, and this ice maker on the table under the shaded gazebo. So, the guests, especially the kids, don't need to go in and out of the house to get ice from the refrigerator. It is all about being convenient. We have used the ice maker a few times already, and we are very happy with the machine. The ice is small enough (really nugget size) for adults to make their own alcoholic drink, and I have observed the kids getting ice just to eat them; well, it has been hot in Southern California lately. If you have extra ice being made, I suggest putting them in the freeze. I do have one suggestion. If you are planning to use this ice maker for social gatherings, you may want to turn on the machine earlier so it allows some time for the ice machine to make ice before people start showing up. ... show more

With a lot of parties coming now this is a money saver lol. I buy this for my sons birthday but it’s perfect for having at home with this hot in summer, so easy to use and clean. It’s a little bit big but works really well

Every pregnancy, I crave ice, but specifically, I crave the chewable nugget ice that you get at hospitals or certain gas stations. For my last one, I had purchased a little set of ice trays that made little balls of ice, which worked, but I had to wait overnight for them to freeze, then a half-hour for them to soften a little before I could chew them safely. Then I got this. OH MY WORD, I use it every day! The little crunchy nuggets of goodness are there whenever I want them. It only takes about 15 minutes to get a normal glass' worth of ice, and within half an hour, there is plenty more. I leave the machine on all day when I'm home so I can scoop out what I want whenever I want. While this one isn't really considered "portable," you bet I've taken it with me! (Just be sure to transport it upright so you don't have to wait 24 hours for the coolant to filter back down to the bottom.) One of my friends had a bridal shower recently, and the ice machine just kept going in the church kitchen while we celebrated in the fellowship hall. The crunchy ice was particularly a hit with the teenage girls, who kept coming back for more. I was able to use it to keep the punch bowl consistently cool over several hours of party by simply dumping the ice basket into the punch whenever it got full. I really like how easy it is to add more water, and the ice nuggets tend to be very slow to melt. There is an auto shut-off when the basket gets too full, as well as when it runs out of water. The media could not be loaded. I've always wanted an ice maker for my RV and this definitely produces a lot of ice in a short amount of time. It has a sleek elegant design and is easy to set up and use. Performs as described and has a low hum but no louder than a small fan. A few things to note is that: 1- it is only an ice maker and does not keep the ice cool once made. There are holes in the bottom of the ice basket so the melted ice will be reused to make more ice. 2- make sure you drain the ice basket before bagging your ice or you will have lots of water in with your ice and will refreeze as one solid chunk of ice. 3- this is not a small unit and takes up a lot of counter space. Not ideal for a camper due to size but I will still use it at home to supplement our fridge ice maker. ... show more

When you gotta have that coffee but it's too hot in the summer, this ice maker makes it great to have your caffeine fix as a cold beverage. I got to be able to give my guests a choice of having their coffee iced or hot. Will also work great with a nice blender to have ice blended coffee. Plug in, fill the tank and a few minutes later have ice. Size if just right for my counter and easy functions to get that ice going. ... show more

    • EXCELLENT Nugget Ice Maker! (...And Excellent Customer Support!)
Our home has a number of different ice makers, from crescent to cube, in refrigerator and in commercial chest style. When I saw this nugget ice maker, I knew we had to have it! This is the soft ice that everyone loves to chew because it doesn't hurt your teeth. This particular model, I'm happy to report, did not disappoint!!! NOTE: Upon receiving this ice maker (DIM-20A), please remember to leave your unit in the upright position for 24 hours before use. This allows the oil in the compressor to settle after shipping. This unit has a refrigeration system just like the one in your kitchen's refrigerator, so it's not your usual cheaply-made ice maker. This unit is built with a commercial backbone. Full Disclosure: Although I did have a noise issue with my first unit, YESERLI-US stepped in, diagnosed the issue, and replaced my faulty unit. I believe it was likely knocked around in transit because the noise reminded me of something that was out of alignment. Regardless of what it was, they fully stood behind their product, even after the typical service window had expired. Service AFTER the sale is extremely important to me and they passed the test! Kudos to them for going the extra mile for their customers!!! This right here is what earns them the five stars they deserve!!! The ice maker has a reservoir that is filled with water to a fill line. The reservoir is located just below the ice bin where the chute deposits the nuggets. Noise levels are typical for this type of unit. It's not silent, but by no means is it loud, either. Ice creation is quick and plentiful. We have ours on a cart right in our kitchen for the whole family to enjoy. Whenever we have guests in our home, this ice maker always becomes the center of attention because it is also aesthetically pleasing. You know it's great ice when the guests finish their drinks and ask if they can just have a cup of ice! Highly recommended, especially for Amazon's low listed selling price.
