  • Makes water in the high desert of SoCal
I live in the high desert of Southern California, we are hot and dry in the summer...but this thing still makes water every day...not the 8 gallons it would in the tropics but much more than I ever expected. I am writing this review in August with the temp at 100F and 31%RH..this thing is making water..not a ton..but enough for the dogs, my coffee in the morning and a couple pitchers for drinking..every day!..the bad though is that the manual is BS..put water in the lower tank from your tap to get it running and when you spill into the "leak cup" (the rubber cup that will shut you down and is not in the troubleshooting guide but all you have to do is reach under, pull it off and dump it) it starts to work very well! I'm happy with this, manual is BS, tech support is awesome and answered the phone ... show more

  • Nu Water atmospheric water machine
After about a month of using the machine it started to produce a type of white slimy residue that could be seen floating around in the top tank. I reached out to the company, which by the reviews on here I thought I would be in good hands. After more than a month of going back and forth and getting no where Amazon customer service was able to step in and make things right. I was able to return the machine for a refund. PS: The machine makes a constant sound comparable to an old time fridge. Something to keep in mind if you're going to have it in an area like the dining room or living room. ... show more

  • Atmospheric Water Generator
Atmospheric Water Generator works great!

  • There should be a recommended usage for the atmospheric osmosis feature.
The media could not be loaded. I live in Colorado, and it takes about 4 days to make 2 gallons of water, on top of that the machine makes this high pitch sound and it pierces right to the ear, I contacted support and they said it's because of the valves but everything is set up correctly, I wanted to make a return, but the shipping cost is over 600 dollars. The shipping comes from Old Dominion Freightline Inc (not UPS). I can probably use this machine on my patio where it won't be so noisy. I have not tested this out on a solar generator yet. Something like this is supposed to be used for end of days, no water in sight, and the low lives in the area barricade your local river with sniping towers. ... show more

  • Works great in a water-restricted region (Southern California)
This is a great device to produce water from the humidity in the air. I live in Southern California, where the humidity is relatively low (usually 30-32%, below the 35% threshold recommendation for this device). As a result, my device’s water production rate is around 1-1/2 to 3 gallons/day (I usually only run it for 12 hours during the day). However, it is enough water production for me to make my 64 oz of iced tea, water some plants, and to keep my pets hydrated. Luckily, I have solar power, so I don’t worry much about the electricity usage. The biggest problem that I have had is that the instruction manual is one of the worst that I have ever encountered. HOWEVER, TECHNICAL SUPPORT IS FANTASTIC. My hints for getting this thing running are as follows: A). Place it in an area where noise won’t bother you and where there is a clear area for its ventilation ports - I have mine in my garage; noise level that it produces is at 57 dB ( loud conversation level) B) Make sure that you tighten the cap on the filter (on the farthest right-side) with the included circular wrench - I didn’t do this and the dang thing was leaking water) C) PRIME THE LOWER WATER TANK - they don’t tell you this in the (very lousy) instruction manual, but the great support person told me to fill the lower tank with tap water - then my machine actually started to work D) you are probably smarter than I am, but I was wondering why I couldn’t get any water out of the device until I realized that there was a cute, rubber stopper to protect the water spout for dispensing the water ... show more

  • It takes about 20 days to flush filters
I am very impressed with unit, produces 2.5 gallons a day. It took 20 days to flush filters but now the water is fantastic. 2 months of operation with no issues. The unit makes about as much noise as a refrigerator but not bad. Hot/cold works great, I haven’t looked much , but filters are not readily found on Amazon ... show more

  • Works great
The Nu Water 30 is working great. My wife and I drink 2 gallons a Day together so it is running most of the time to top of the water. Once it is full the condenser stops running. The water is crisp and pure. Imagine, you are drinking water that did not come from the ground, did not go to a recycling facility plant, did not get over treated with chlorine and floride, did not travel through old rusty city pipes to your tap. As a bonus for Preppers; as long as you have electricity, you water! ... show more

  • This machine has problems
Purchase my machine 10/2023 stated to malfunction 5 months later during regular maintenance so called support they said tech is not available for 3-4 weeks so sent me new part, approx month later water stated to make yellowish slime material floating inside lower chamber so called support and asked them if they knew what this was and if any other machine was doing this and they said this is the first time. I changed out all the filters I purchased from them $200.00 even though the machine was not flashing the filter light then turned the unit on and found still producing this gross slimey stuff which we were drinking everyday, I didn't notice it until my son told me there are stuff floating inside water jug. This company manager and CEO are the rudest individuals i've ever met (phone) manager raised his voice when I demanded warranty support he told me call the CEO then hung up the phone so I call the CEO she said my warranty is voided because "you been working on it god know what you did to it plus you didn't get permission from me" I'm like What? I have to perform maintenance weekly on the unit it says that in the manual, its been a terrible experience. This product is only good as the support get at this point there is none I'm still in my 8th month after purchase and they decided to ignore me and ghost me. I have physical samples of the slime and microscope view picture of what's in the water, no one with the right my will even drink it is disgusting!! ... show more
