It has separate clamps in each end of the battery enclosure that firmly grip the clear flexible tube. Previous collars did not have these, and the collars often came apart and fell off. 2. My yard is so dark and now I can see them at night. I didn't understand how you can cut to size if it is a light. So if you don't know... The ring itself is just clear. The light is only in the snap where the power button is but when turned on the tube lights up bright like the pic shows. You need to cut to size but make sure you cut it so you have just enough room to pull on and off dogs head. Once you cut and put the end into the light it is in place. I have not needed to charge it and I have had them for a couple of months. I also do not use them often. Just night to let them out before bed. ... show more

Green is best color for being seen - but they r not durable enough especially where the connections go into the power position and the flap that covers the charging outlet - make it so they r easier to take off and stay on - dogs play with them on and they can get broken and the flap can get torn off - which makes it difficult to keep clean and dry but the concept is excellent just improve those two areas - making it easier for them to be put on and take off would b most helpful because u want them to stay on ur dog when they r running and playing but u cant make it snug enough with out having difficulty getting it over head and ears ... show more
