Features

  • Powerful 11 mm Driver: We've made our driver even more compact. With double the power than Ear (2), Ear (a) delivers an even deeper bass performance. The extra space gives sound waves more room to vibrate. With two new vents, airflow is improved inside the bud. For less distortion and richer overall clarity
  • Smart Active Noise Cancellation: Up to 45 dB,Nothing Ear (a) automatically checks for noise leakage between the earbud and your ear canal, then applies more noise cancellation to make up for it. So you receive the best possible noise cancellation. Happens every time you put them in. So you can go from quiet rooms to busy streets without hearing a thing (other than what's playing)
  • Clear Voice Technology: Clear as day. Ear (a) isolates your voice from everyday distractions so calls on-the-go feel like face-to-face conversations. With a new talk mic and extra airway on the stem for wind to pass through, weve reduced interference by 60% compared to Ear (2)
  • Long Playtime, Fast Charging: For speedy power-ups, Ear (a) can Fast Charge for 10 minutes and deliver 10 hours of music playback (with ANC turned off). Compared to Ear (2), Ear (a) can deliver 40.5% more non-stop play time on a single charge. Or pop your earbuds back in the case and stretch listening time to over 42.5 hours (with ANC turned off)
  • More Performance: Low Lag mode,Reduced audio lag for better gaming. Triggered automatically in Game Mode on a Nothing phone. With end-to-end latency at less than 120 ms.Stay connected to two devices at the same time. Play music on your laptop then seamlessly switch to answer a call on your phone. Effortless. Adaptive ANC,Next-level escapism. Switch between 3 levels of noise cancellation. Or let Ear (a) take control. By selecting 'Adaptive' in the Nothing X app, Ear (a) automatically applies the right level of noise cancellation according to your surroundings in real time

  • Best bang for buck
Color: Black
A month later, Nothing Ear (a) is a great product which comes in at a decent price for the features it offers. The sound is absolutely amazing, with limited EQ enhancements that are still very good for your everyday use. Transparency mode needs improvement, other than that, dual connection, base, snug look and feel, battery life and ANC are good for $99. Worth it so far. ... show more

  • Best Sound Quality I’ve Experienced
Color: White
Wow, these are by far the best sounding earbuds I’ve ever tried. The bass is aggressive and clear, and the mids and treble are both more than enough to make any song sound 10x better. The app is really easy to use, and the different EQ modes are great for listening to different genres, or if you just want a little more bass or a little more treble. They look amazing as well, and they fit perfectly. I’ve let people try them, and everyone is blown away by the sound quality, and also the comfort. ... show more

  • They Sound great BUT..
Color: White
The clarity and build quality on these earbuds is fantastic however the touch controls leave a lot to be desired. Perhaps its a learning curve but the pinch controls for song skipping/fwd/volume control isn't very good. You have the squeeze the earbuds quite hard and tbh many other earbuds ive had do touch controls a lot better. They should be more sensitive to touch as i feel like im breaking them to activate the controls. They also just don't work properly sometimes even if i follow the touch control guide on the mobile app. That aside everything else is great such as the charge time, battery life, build quality, sound quality, and mobile app. (Yes these work on IOS and Android devices) Will continue to use these for the next week to see if the touch controls grow on me. ... show more

  • Best Value
Color: Black
Ordered the Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a) to try out the difference between the two. Honestly, can't really justify the extra $50 for the non (a) version. These sound great and feel great, coming from Bose QuietComfort. Noise cancellation is on par, audio is better (could be placebo but bass sounds deeper), and they feel much better in ear. Less bulky. I would say for $99, this is the best pair of earbuds you can buy. Also the chatgpt integration with my Nothing Phone (2) is pretty neat. When it works, it's nice- but I've found that the phone screen has to be unlocked for mine to continue open dialogue. Which kind of defeats the purpose? If it is integrated into the headphones, it should be able to allow conversation without the need for the actual device (other than Bluetooth range, of course). So if you're, say, walking through a crowded airport and want to hear recommendations about a show to watch on a two hour plane ride, well, you'll still essentially need to be looking down at your phone. When the screen goes black (locked), chatgpt isn't listening to you anymore. ... show more

  • Should have bought these sooner
Color: White
For the last three years I've been using Donnerton C5 earbuds. They were inexpensive and, as far as I knew, sounded great. A couple weeks ago they finally suffered a fatal mishap, as always I knew they would sooner or later. When I tried to reorder the same model, of course I found they're no longer available. TOZO T10s had similar review ratings and price, so I ordered those instead. I could tell they were junk as soon as I got them out of the box, and sure enough they sounded atrocious compared to the C5s. I returned them and ordered Donnerton i09s. The looked about as crummy as the T10s, but at least they sounded a tad better. Not enough, though. They were tinny and clippy... the C5s never distorted, ever. I wasn't willing to endure that drop in quality. Finally I said screw it and tripled my budget and ordered this Nothing Ear (a). As soon as I powered them on I knew it was money well spent. They automatically offered to connect to my phone, all I had to do was say 'Yes.' They automatically offered to download the Nothing app. The noise canceling blows my mind. And above all, the sound coming out of them is definitely an improvement over my old C5s and I can happily forget about those now. ... show more

  • Best $100 ever spent
Color: White
If you want great sound, style, affordability, and a decent battery, get these. All I can say is holy cow. I have been looking for good earbuds that were comfortable and sound great. Look no further. I have not tried the Nothing 1 or 2 so I don't know how these compare to those. For me, the jump went from Samsung Buds gen 1 to these Nothing A's. What a jump in bass and all around clarity. ... show more

  • Incredible value for the price
Color: Black
I've used Samsung earbuds, the Amazon Echo Buds, the Sony WF 1000XM4's, and Apple AirPods pro. My Sony's unfortunately began to be unable to hold a charge for very long. While I enjoyed the degree of ANC they offered, they were a bit uncomfortable. The Nothing Ear a's released and I heard a few good things so I decided to give them a try. I'm by no means a major audiophile but I've been pretty impressed with how they sound. They're almost comparable to the AirPods in my opinion. The app makes it very easy to tune them as well. The ANC on the Nothing feels similar to the AirPods but I think if you asked someone to tell the difference it would be fairly hard. The case is also surprisingly well built, there is a nice magnet that closes it. So far things are holding up well but I'm happy with my purchase ... show more

  • Not impressed, sadly
Color: Yellow
I was looking forward to these, coming from the boring AirPods but the nothing ear(a) does nothing great. Compared to AirPods the sound is not very clear. I have issues with the bass with these earbuds. Right away I’m alarmed by the amount of muffled sound it has. There’s a raspy tone to the sound I can’t get passed by. I would say maybe spend the extra 50 and go for the regular nothing ear. Maybe you’ll be more lucky with those. These are comparable to ear buds under 60 dollars. On a side note the app is great. I like that you get updates so maybe with time it will improve. Also noise canceling is great. In the end if you have AirPods and like them skip these. If you’re coming from a cheaper option maybe it’s worth the slight upgrade. ... show more
