Features

  • Powerful 11 mm Driver: We've made our driver even more compact. With double the power than Ear (2), Ear (a) delivers an even deeper bass performance. The extra space gives sound waves more room to vibrate. With two new vents, airflow is improved inside the bud. For less distortion and richer overall clarity

So you receive the best possible noise cancellation. Happens every time you put them in. So you can go from quiet rooms to busy streets without hearing a thing (other than what's playing)
  • Clear Voice Technology: Clear as day. Ear (a) isolates your voice from everyday distractions so calls on-the-go feel like face-to-face conversations. With a new talk mic and extra airway on the stem for wind to pass through, weve reduced interference by 60% compared to Ear (2)
  • Long Playtime, Fast Charging: For speedy power-ups, Ear (a) can Fast Charge for 10 minutes and deliver 10 hours of music playback (with ANC turned off). Compared to Ear (2), Ear (a) can deliver 40.5% more non-stop play time on a single charge. Or pop your earbuds back in the case and stretch listening time to over 42.5 hours (with ANC turned off)
  • More Performance: Low Lag mode,Reduced audio lag for better gaming. Triggered automatically in Game Mode on a Nothing phone. With end-to-end latency at less than 120 ms.Stay connected to two devices at the same time. Play music on your laptop then seamlessly switch to answer a call on your phone. Effortless. Adaptive ANC,Next-level escapism. Switch between 3 levels of noise cancellation. Or let Ear (a) take control. By selecting 'Adaptive' in the Nothing X app, Ear (a) automatically applies the right level of noise cancellation according to your surroundings in real time

  • Best earbuds I've ever owned
Color: Black
I'm not a huge audiophile, nor do I use earbuds a ton, but a lot of that was not really finding a set that was comfortable, or worked the way I wanted them to, most of the ones I had were older, touch controlled, a weird form factor, or had severe lag making them difficult to watch videos with. So after seeing a few solid reviews, I gave these a try. Pros: - Great form factor. I like the earbud with stem form factor a lot after trying just the total in ear bud and the wrap around behind the ear style. This is totally personal however. - Solid fit - I needed the large tips, but they fit great and generally stay in unless I'm doing something either particularly motion intensive or taking off clothing that could bump them out. - Amazing Sound - As I mentioned, I'm not an audiophile, but compared to my other earbuds, these are amazing. Good sound quality and separation, sold bass without being obnoxious, and great for both calls, podcasts/youtube, an music. - Good noise canceling and pass though mode - I generally don't use passthrough mode much, but it seems to work well, and the noise canceling has been great for getting rid of background noise. Best on an earbud I've ever used. - Price - Earbuds this good used to be much more expensive. I know these aren't the only ones in their price range with this feature set now, but they're competitive at their price point with several different styles/options. - Look - I think the solid and clear aesthetic is pretty cool, but they're also not super loud (visually) so they don't scream "look at my earbuds!" either. So nice and cool but classy and understated. - Solid software - Easy to customize, control, and the software helps me grab them on whatever device I'm using. Sadly, there's no Windows app for them yet, but they work great on Android. - Easy to grab and put in the case. My sausage hands struggle with some cases, not these. - Mic quality - Solid enough mic that it picks up my voice (I have vocal chord damage, so this is an issue with some headsets that can't pick up my voice) and sound as good if not better than the phone mic on calls. I wouldn't do a podcast with them, but they're solid for calls/discord/gaming. Meh: - Controls - Pinch controls are fine once you get used to them, and better than unreliable touch controls, but I still struggle to find exactly where to pinch, and doing anything other than single pinch or hold is difficult to do fast enough at times for me so far. So, better than other ear buds I've had, but not perfect. Fortunately you can customize them easily. Cons: - Case could maybe be a little smaller? I wouldn't mind if the edges that are made to square it off a bit were a bit more rounded to reduce the size slightly. Minor nit pick. - Mic can pickup background noise - Shouldn't be a huge surprise here, it's a good and sensitive mic that's not right near your mouth, so it will pick up background noise or conversations in the room. Overall, I like them. Best earbuds I've owned, though to be fair, it's also the most expensive ones I've owned (though the $80 ones from 2019 may effectively be close). I've found they're now always in my pocket where as before I wouldn't bring earbuds with me everywhere, and I'm using them more than I expected. If you like the style and the price is right, then I'd highly recommend them. You'd probably have to spend quite a bit more to get significantly better, so these are a great value for full featured noise canceling earbuds. ... show more

  • Great App, Strong Connectivity, LDAC, Good Sound and Value
Color: Black
It got the looks, comfort, strong connectivity, and good price-to-performance ratio. I paid $85 after the promo and I can say that this pair is hard to beat. Sometimes it feels like I'm wearing nothing I can't believe how comfortable they are. Sound quality is amazing with LDAC turned on paired with a Pixel 8. I can't go back to my Galaxy Buds2 and Pixel Buds A after hearing this. Connectivity impressed me, as someone who works in a Data Center whenever I do my walkthrough, all the other buds that I had will get random cutoffs when I pass by a number of wireless devices but the Nothing Ear (a)'s were very solid and never lost connection. Battery is decent when LDAC is on it will sip more juice but it's worth it. Call quality is better than my other buds and it separates background noise well. My only problem and it only happened the first time I paired it to my phone, is that the right bud did not sync whenever I change the noise control. It got solved when I paired the buds again to my phone. ... show more

  • Best Value for Price in the headphone market
Color: Black
Overall these headphones are super solid! For the price (I bought it for US$91 post-tax with coupons clipped) these are almost measuring up to AirPods Pro even while being cheaper than their base model. Overall sound quality is more-or-less comparable to AirPods Pro 2nd Gen, if not then maybe slightly worse. These are NOT the headphones for audiophiles, but that should be obvious for any Bluetooth set. These are really sleek-looking and sound decently well. Unlike AirPods, it does have universal support for in-ear detection and universal support for adaptive mode on ANC. Also, they have equalizer settings in the Nothing X app, which is also a really sleek, good-looking, and easy-to-use app. There are many other settings, including a dual connection option and a low-latency mode combined with several other great customization features. Three main flaws (but they are minimal): 1. Great ANC (noise cancellation), BAD transparency. The transparency is not even in the same league as AirPods Pro transparency. I really do not like Apple as a company but their AirPods Pro are good (ignoring the price) I bought these to try to replace the AirPods Pros but unfortunately that's not going to happen due to the poor transparency mode. I plan to use these with my non-apple devices for audio because of the compatibility and in-ear detection. 2. "ChatGPT Integration" is not supported on any phone except the Nothing Phone 1, 2, and 2a. I tried using this with my Pixel 7 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro and after searching found that the ChatGPT integration is just the voice mode on the app but used as a shortcut and only for Nothing phones. This should definitely not be an issue if it was a true integration and even if it isn't, it should still be doable on at least Android devices. It is ignorable though because Gemini is available to use as the voice assistant on Android and Apple Inteligence is coming soon to iPhone. Otherwise, it's perfect! It's easy to overlook the issues, so I just wanted to clarify that these are the only problems I saw. Otherwise these re best value for money true wireless earbuds! ... show more

  • Amazing but maybe a manufacturer defect
Color: Black
Amazing build quality for price, nice lightweight so it doesn't wear heavy on ears after hours of use. No complaints from anyone that's called. Secure fit, almost can forget I have them on. Balanced audio with a simple app to change eq. This is probably a manufacturer defect but even if the case is closed the left earbud will randomly connect. I was in my basement but the earbud has been connecting from the 2nd floor. Good connection range I guess but quality control might be questionable. Probably will be returning these even though they are great, if they keep connecting/disconnecting Update: got a pair to swap and they are much better. ... show more
