I have a commercial machine and do most of my own straps, canvas work, etc, and have most the materials on hand for this. BUT, for the price, not having to think it out, the hour it'd take, not to mention materials, this is a no brainer. Very well designed. All the angles are great, the adjustments are in the right spots, nice hardware, thoughtful strap keepers where needed, and quality stitching.     • Makes a tight fit to chest
The strap around the back and over the shoulders makes a nice tight fit to the chest and is completely adjustable. The carabiner loops also are a nice feature. When looking at the reviews before buying one of them said the loops were too small for a carabiner but you shouldn't be using a full size carabiner for attachment just a small one works perfectly. All the carabiner has to do is tend whatever type of descender your using (rope wrench, akimbo, etc). It's not life support. Also another review said it was rather flimsy or so such term but again you don't need some big chest harness (I have one of those). I prefer this one to my heavier one because it's much less obtrusive. I tested it out with a rope wrench without really climbing and it seems to tend nicely. I won't say anything about it's durability at this point because I just received it in the mail. If I have any future problems with it I'll update my review but at this point I give it 5 stars. ... show more
