This horn is great. There is a solid weight, it's easy to play for anyone with brass instrument experience, and easy to learn for those without. If I had a gripe, it would be the use of Elder Futhark on a Norse era device. Old Norse should be written in Younger Futhark. That said, the literal translation is "strength on the spear" and is an excellent choice for a horn spell to buff your battle buds and debuff your enemies. I am so far quite pleased with the horn and will look to Norse Tradesman first the next time I want something from that time period. ... show more

It’s a good looking horn and a good size, however they didn’t finish drilling it. You can kind of tell that someone started their hole a bit crooked and then decided to call it “good enough” I bought some new drill bits to finish it myself, but I need to buy a special bit now due to the normal bits being too short. A little more attention to detail or quality assurance would have prevented this… please do better. ... show more

Mouth piece is a little rough, have to sand it down to avoid getting lip surface scratched from vibration. Other than that if you follow the instructions and practice you can get a pretty good sound within 10 minutes. It's much bigger than the image. My husband was thrilled to get this for his Birthday. The media could not be loaded. Definitely worth the time and effort.It takes to learn how to utilize a viking war horn. This was well crafted, and I enjoy learning how to utilize it. I highly recommend for viking enthusiast, and those who practiced the faith of old norse mythology. I tried uploading 2 videos but the one I got was the best I can do for the time.
