This horn is great. There is a solid weight, it's easy to play for anyone with brass instrument experience, and easy to learn for those without. If I had a gripe, it would be the use of Elder Futhark on a Norse era device. Old Norse should be written in Younger Futhark. That said, the literal translation is "strength on the spear" and is an excellent choice for a horn spell to buff your battle buds and debuff your enemies. It’s a good looking horn and a good size, however they didn’t finish drilling it. You can kind of tell that someone started their hole a bit crooked and then decided to call it “good enough” I bought some new drill bits to finish it myself, but I need to buy a special bit now due to the normal bits being too short. A little more attention to detail or quality assurance would have prevented this… please do better. ... show more

Mouth piece is a little rough, have to sand it down to avoid getting lip surface scratched from vibration. Other than that if you follow the instructions and practice you can get a pretty good sound within 10 minutes. It's much bigger than the image. My husband was thrilled to get this for his Birthday.
