Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water. 2. Dishwasher use is not recommended, as it may shorten the life of the nonstick coating on your pan. 3. Metal utensils, scouring pads and abrasive cleaners should not be used on nonstick surfaces. From this pan come cakes, molded salads, and other delights in the classic smooth-sided, flat-topped, angel-food-cake shape. Of course, the cake's composition doesn't have to conform to the shape's name. Try a lemon pound cake with raspberry sauce (recipe included) to see how the form has more than one function. I bought this cake pan to make a pound cake and it was not deep enough. If you are making a cake with a lot of ingredients I wouldn't recommend it. I still gave it a five because the pan itself was fine. I didn't purchase the correct size.

I don't use anything but bakers joy to spray my pan and I've never experienced an issue with it releasing the cake. No issues with inconsistent browning or anything. After seeing some reviews that complained about their cakes sticking, I almost didn't buy this pan. Maybe it's sugary ingredients that are caramelizing the edges or not enough spray or 'goop' to allow your food to release properly. I'm so glad I took a chance. I really wish more people would post their experiences with products that they found worked well so more of us will not be crossing our fingers when we buy. I know this pan is called an angel food pan, but for angel food cakes, I would not use this pan. For angel food cakes, I use an aluminum pan (no coating) with a removable bottom and never butter the pan. I bought this pan to make pound cakes. This is a nice sturdy pan and easy to clean. I just baked my grandmother's sour cream pound cake recipe. I've used other pans before and had problems with sticking, even when I greased and floured the pans. I took a chance and decided to do NOTHING to this pan. I let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes after baking, and it popped right out. I believe that I had this for about a year before using it. I just used it on February 14, 2022. The reason that I did not use it was, I was upset that the inner ring of the tube had not been finished. If I were to handle it or send my grandchildren or any one to get it for me, or during the cleaning of it, we could easily be cut. I am Diabetic, we bruise and get hurt and cut very easily and take longer to heal than other people do. I did not want to trouble myself returning it, especially with all of the COVID-19 delays that we were experiencing. I hope that this is not the norm for NORDIC WARE products.
