I plan to give this journal kit to my daughter as a new year’s gift. Overall, it is nicely packed in a shiny metallic looking box and it includes color lens, a notebook, memo pad, bookmarks, and paper clips. Quality looks ok but not the best. I have no doubt my daughter will love it.

This is a very cute journal set! I am planning to give it to my niece for her 11th birthday, and from looking at it in person I already know she will enjoy it. All items pictured on the listing were included. I tested a couple of the pens just to ensure they weren’t dried up, and they worked perfectly. I did notice the pad of sticky notes had glue or something on them. Thankfully it was only on the top sheet, so I was able to remove it. My niece probably would not have even noticed it. In my opinion, the only real area that needs improvement with this product is the packaging. I included a photo of what it looked like upon receiving it, and the items were very jumbled around with nothing to hold them in place. I would not have cared about this if it were something I got for myself, but as a gift I want something that looks presentable. I just opened it and rearranged everything so it looks like what is shown in the product photos. Overall, I am still pleased with this item! Just be aware you may have to rearrange it before gifting it to someone. ... show more

    • Not the Fanciest Materials, but My Daughter Loves!
I got this journal set for my 12 year old daughter. She has kept a consistent diary/journal for years, as she expresses herself much better through her writing...as do i. Art is another way that she expresses her thoughts and emotions. She's such a GREAT artist! I figured that she could use both her artistic and writing skills congruently, with this set. And that is exactly what she's been doing! She's been using the supplies to decorate the pages & she's been drawing her own anime characters alongside the photos that she's pasted on the pages in her journal. She's so creative, she could make something beautiful out of nothing! I believe that this journal set would be great for kids and preteens 8-12,. As with any (or most) sets for kids such as this, you're not going to find the fanciest supplies. And even with my daughter, I was afraid that this might be a tad to childish for her. I love this set. Absolutely amazing and beautiful. I'm taking a star off because I don't like the pens. They don't seem like they'd last long because of the marker-like material and I don't care for the way they write. Other than this, the entire set is beautiful!

My daughter was excited to receive this journal kit because she likes to write things down however, when using the pens after writing a page or two they dry out, and a few hours later the ink returns to the pen. Very nice set for young girls, who like to journal or do scrapbooking. Our granddaughter loves this DIY kit. The journal is a beautiful blue color. The kit includes pens, stickers, memo pad, washi tape and more.
