If you’re just beginning, please study the manual and read up or watch pros and learn how to detect and skip over junk as opposed to treasure. i worked at the university of kentucky archaeology lab in lexington ky and we had a bunch of different metal detectors to use at sights as well as GPR units. the Nakto makro legend is an amazing machine for the price and features. water proof and multi freq. as well as multiple programs to customize. for the money great. ... show more

This detector is well constructed and solid. It has more features than most detectors all in one. It works well and using it more I’m sure it’s going to be better. It’s weight is reasonable but I think with the smaller coil would be much better. Some of the display icons are tiny and hard to see. It offers an array of good information about targets in the ground, helping you to decide whether or not to dig it out. As far as finding metal objects underground this machine works great, but unfortunately after about 24 hours of total use the speaker quit working. I think its a great machine overall but I am starting to question its quality. Lets see how the warranty claim process goes
