  • Works perfectly, surprisingly cheap
These stopped my PC from overheating. Easy to install too. Noctua has made a customer for life!

  • It's Noctua, what can you say
I replaced an AIO cooler that lasted less than 2 years. This keeps my system cool, was easy to install, is quieter, and I expect it will last far more than 2 years. The AIO was nice, it dumped the heat out the top, but it was complex, pump, radiator, 3 fans, hoses. I didn't build the machine so I did not have the problems installing the AIO, It was a pain just to get it out. This is far simpler with a single fan attached to the cooler. The heat is dumped in the case, but it does fine and lets the processor run without throttling. Noctua builds nice fans and their coolers are a work of art. As far as cooling they do almost as well as an AIO. The thing is most processors are just fine with a Noctua and AIOs are just overkill. Even a "hot" gaming system works fine with Noctua. ... show more

  • Excellent cooler for efficiency and budget
I purchased this along with its second fan kit. Mounted on a ryzen 7 5700G which I then overclocked to 4.5Ghz all core stable at 1.35V. When running heavy benchmark loads, burnin tests, and intense workload programs the max temp was 40°C. Fan noise is negligible at best and the pwm keeps them in a good zone without needing the power limiter. I used to build systems professionally at work and have used most high end components available so I get to test a lot of configurations. Normally my preferred air cooler is the be quiet dark rock pro 4, but this little beast has honestly stolen my affections. In most workloads the performance is near identical to coolers twice its cost so it really is a good value. Downside, its not the nicest looking cooler. It has a decent style with the grey and silver so you can pull of some nice looking builds, but its no head turner and honestly is best for systems that arent showcases. Bottom line, an exceptional cooler for a very reasonable price. I first tested this on intel 12th gen and they did great with non k sku models and a single fan. If you are doing a 12700k, 12600k, or their new 13th gen versions then this guy is a great buy. If, however, you want to oc the intels, then you may want to look into 240mm aio or bigger fan solutions. If you are looking to build a good performance amd 5000 series based system, look no further. The great efficiency of the amd 5000 means this cooler does extremely well with these cpus. I selected the 5700g for both budget and my needs which arent crazy. Im not really into buying the end all be all and tend to lean more into efficiency and capability. This cooler keeps my system stable and running exceptionally well and I still have headroom to work with. No question, while there are cheaper units and some better performing units none have both as well as this. This is the best budget cooler available today. ... show more

  • Fantastic if installed properly
Using on 12th Gen i3, works great. Went from average temps of 143F to 109F. Do your due diligence with install, and you should be fine. Fantastic cooler.

  • Great upgrade from AMD stock cooler
Compared to other Nactua products the Redux line is missing some small features that allow it to be priced as low as it is. I researched to decide if these differences (a cheaper fan and the coils not being soldered to the radiator blades) and I decided it would be worth upgrading from my AMD Wraith cooler that came with my Ryzen 5 5600x. My temps were always acceptable while creeping on the hot side while under load. It wasn’t till I started ripping and compressing blu-ray files that I saw my CPU hitting 91°C with the stock cooler. Since installing this Nactua Redux my temps have dropped by 20°C while idling and under load. I’m not sure how much of a difference you’ll see if you’re already using another cooler brand but if you’re still using the stock AMD cooler I can’t recommend this enough. Instal was a breeze, sound levels are low, and it fit perfectly inside my Corsair 220T Airflow case. ... show more

  • Amazing cooler
I bought this a year ago for my ryzen 5600x when my aio stopped working. So I bought this and it cooled my 5600x very well. Now I have a ryzen 5800x3d and it cools it really well I never pass 72c for being an affordable cooler and only having a single fan. It’s been cooling the 105 watt chip very well. This is an amazing value and works great on most CPU’s. Don’t let the price fool you. (photo is when I had my 5600x I removed the secondary fan mounted it to my case and ran the cooler single fan for my 5800x3d now) ... show more

  • Very quiet
This cooler is very quiet, even at full speed. I have mated it to an I9-14900K CPU which can run quite hot when stressed. During easy gaming or professional work it cools the CPU nicely with the computer having excellent performance. My applications run at about 35deg Celsius for professional work and for fun stuff the temperature stays at about 55deg Celsius.. However, if the CPU is stressed to the maximum with heavy games or performance tests, its heat throttling will set in at 100deg Celsius very quickly. In those heavy duty cases a liquid high end cooler would probably be a better choice to avoid performance loss. In my case, I'm not a heavy duty gamer, but like the computer performance of the I9 CPU in my line of work and fun. This cooler is doing an excellent job for me as I don't like louder fan noises from liquid coolers. ... show more

  • In love with this cooler
I needed an aftermarket cooler, as I have a Ryzen 5800x. I was looking for different options and found this cooler. I've heard many good things about Noctua, so I wanted to give this a chance. The moment I opened the box, I knew I had made a good decision. First, construction is excellent on this cooler; you can tell the craftsmanship was done well, and installation was a breeze. This was the most accessible mounting system I have had to do, which was what sold me. Performance was excellent, and I maintained my CPU at 39 C ( I live in a very hot area, so this is a perfect temperature). I went on to buy an additional fan, and now it's much better. I cannot recommend it anymore. ... show more
