Description

The Optisym is for all those snowboarders who enjoy friendly freestyle snowboarding, which means turning everything into a feature, even a groomed run or the sidehits of park landings, switching from airtime tricks to flat ground tricks within seconds. This freestyle snowboarding style is probably the most relatable and achievable - which is why we decided to make a board for the flatlands - the dreamers - the Optisymers. The freestyle-friendly Optisym snowboard is equipped with a revolutionary heelside core technology, called the Powerwall, which provides more strength to the heel sidewall and more agility when on your heel edge, allowing for more precise heelside turns and butters. The Optisym´s mid-wide shape reduces toe and heel drag, essential for progressing your carves, butters, and flatland tricks. The asym twin shape and Dual Degressive sidecut allow endless control when carving and navigating the entire mountain. Quick and high ollies are guaranteed with the Cam-Out Camber and Whiplash Core Profile, while the flex pattern in the nose and tail will enable you to hold butters like a pro. If you are looking for a mid-wide friendly freestyle snowboard for side hits, flatlanding, carving, and jibbing anywhere on the mountain - then the Optisym is the board you need to reignite that optimistic portal inside of you! Let’s start a friendly freestyle revolution together!

  • many problems...
Size: 156
to start i have been snowboarding for over 20 years. i outfitted it with union airblaster bindings... so here is the deal this is a freestyle only snowboard its pretty worthless for all mountain. on hard pack snow park conditions this snowboard is awesome. anything different and it will have have you bouncing back and forth in other peoples tracks like a pinball machine. the other problem is the effective edge is so aggressive when the snow is soft and you lean into the edge it will bite throwing you to the ground every time. i rode this board both regular and switch and it throw me onto the ground enough times for me to consciously tell myself ok you can not get aggressive with this board lost confidence and told my friends not to get to close incase the board rips me down so they don't run over me. ( we normally ride in a tight pack). in closing this is a typical gimmick snowboard that promises everything and gives nothing with its shape being way to aggressive for anything but hard pack. i can safely say i will only be bringing this board out on park days and even at that not so much since most any snowboard works grate in the park. ... show more
