So when I measured my hands for these the width of my palm is 3 1/2 inches, exactly. Which showed as the Large size gloves on their measuring chart. I have always worn an extra large glove size in rubber gloves and regular gloves and was worried that the large would be to small or at least uncomfortably tight. There is approximately an 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch of extra rubber material at the ends of my finger tips and thumbs with the glove firmly pressed against the webbing between my fingers. I'm glad I went with the extra large size, as ive been burned before on the "size chart" shown for wearable items. I know that these gloves are meant to stretch and it's possible that they would stretch enough to be comfortable in the large size but I just didn't want to take that chance. After putting on the extra large gloves I can see how fine motor work would be a challenge in this size and would most likely need the large size to accomplish, but since I'm going to be using them to work with my rv black tank and sewer lines they will certainly do the job. I should make clear that this size DOES NOT fit my hand size as rubber gloves should, but I did not take a star away because of it, as it was my choice to go up a size. I can feel they are thicker then your normal rubber glove and I like the feel of the grip areas of the gloves. If form fitting rubber gloves don't bother you and you need fine motor control of the objects you will be manipulating I would certainly go with the "width of the palm" size measurement listed in the add. ... show more
