Description

Intelligent charging circuitry selects the optimal charging mode (CC, CV and dV/dt) for a given battery and each of the D4 two microcomputer-controlled charging slots then monitors and charges the battery independently. Furthermore, an integrated digital LCD screen clearly displays charging progress, voltage, current and time while an intelligent automatic power off function terminates current when charging is complete.

The ability to slow charge and the display make this charger hard to beat in my opinion. Backlight for the screen can be turned on and off. And if you want to slow charge a battery, you have to press and hold the mode button on each channel. But it is automatic if you don't care about slow charging. Some people are all about fast charging, I like to slowly charge my batteries to full capacity and this charger allows you to do it individually on each channel. The D4 is my go-to simple, easy to use charger for general NiMh or Li-ion charging, I have a few of these. Works fine with AA, AAA and 18650 cells.

    • Not good for C batteries
I bought this to charge C batteries used in my outdoor LED lights. It can only charge ONE C (and presumably D) battery AT A TIME, not 4 as indicated.
