I have now purchased several of these light mounting kits - I have 3 Can Am Outlanders and I have been attaching lights to the various bars on a few different Outlander models (1000CC, 570CC). The inserts do accommodate a wide variety of bar diameters but I found that these do not fit the bar diameter on the Outlander 570 very well. The solution was to machine the mating surface of the clamps so they will tighten down on the slightly smaller diameter tubing of the Outlander 570 racks. I wish the inserts were urethane rather than what appears to be pretty cheap synthetic or recycled rubber. The inserts are not terribly durable or resilient - the mounts on my 1000CC Outlander started out fine but after 9 months, they are now a bit loose. ... show more

The kit says that it fits anywhere from a 1" up to 2" and supplies the rubber spacers for each size. The bar I needed to fit is between 1.5" and 1.75". Easy peasy, take one of the 1.5" spacers for 1 side of the clamp and the 1.75" for the other side. Voila! Nice and snug. Haven't had a chance to try it out but impressed so far. Solid. ... show more

I heard some great things about this product and I specifically bought it so that I didn't have to put holes in my frame tubes to mount the light bar and light pods. It's very solid and works very well. I also thought it came at a good cost also. Unfortunately, I came to the last bracket and when I tried to mount it, there were no threads cut into the one piece (two piece bracket) which prevented me from mounting the bracket. So I drilled and tapped the hole with a 1/4 X 20 bolt. Worked great. Caused the wall to be a bit thinner but it still mounted ok and so far is working like it should. I felt it wasn't right so I decided to inquire their support options. I heard some good things about support so I sent an e-mail and through a few exchanges, they're sending me a new bracket to replace the one I had to modify to make work. I'm not used to this kind of support from the Chinese products so often found on Amazon. But I'm rather excited about the Nilight product and support. They were easy to communicate with and willing to work with me on the issue without any hassle. I will for sure be looking for anything Nilight when it comes to accessories for my SXS. These things are great to have on hand. They work great for lights, but also for hanging other items that you wouldn't even think of. Customers have some weird ideas, & this helps to do what they might have in mind. I keep spare sets just for that reason. They hold great & for the money, you can't beat it.
