  • Worked well but be advised...
Size: 1 VEHICLE KIT
I bought one of these kits several years ago and then never used it because the instructions were so daunting. They would have me sand one lens for 30 minutes and then move to the other lens. Sorry, no. But this kit was far easier if perhaps a little more complex and I managed to get myself to actually use it and am pleased with the results. My car had become almost undriveable at night from the cloudiness of the lenses. I could drive around all night with my high beams on and NO ONE would flash me. Now I can see again. The instructions are clear enough but they provide a link to video instructions on You Tube that are worth watching. The important point is that the chemicals this product uses do NOT coexist peacefully with water. You are instructed at two points to wash the lenses and then told you must remove absolutely every drop of water from them. They say if you have access to compressed air, you should use it to get water out of cracks and crevices. I didn't have compressed air, but I do have a battery driven yard blower that was nearly as effective. The process goes as follows: 1) Wash your lenses with soap and water. Rinse then dry, dry, dry, blowdry, dry and let is sit in the hot sun for 2 hours. Just kidding. Make sure it is bone dry. 2) Apply their oxidation removal chemicals. This comes from soaked pads, 4 per lens. This requires you wear gloves but they have thoughtfully provided them. This was weirdly effective and satisfying. 3) When dry, sand with the 2000 and 3000 grit sandpaper they've provided along with a comfortable "block" to do it with. 4) Wash and dry, dry, dry... you get the picture 5) Apply sealant. A single coat applied in overlapping stripes. Easier than it sounded 6) Allow to dry for at least an hour The result had the appearance of clear glass. You couldn't ask for better. However, when it became dark out and I turned on the headlights, I discovered that there were tiny defects IN the lens plastic. The effect was similar to a bright light revealing dust particles floating in the air. Being inside the lens material, there was nothing this treatment or any other could do so I have not marked them down for that. Mind you, this is a 9 year old Hyundai Tucson with 112,000 miles on it which has spent about 80% of its life in the Florida sunshine. Despite the instructions telling me to take before pictures of both lenses, I did not do so. I think you all have a fair idea what they looked like. I have attached a picture of the lens under normal illumination and again with the high beams lit showing the defects in the lens material. It is claimed that this treatment - effectively the sealant used in the last step - will last the lifetime of the car. It has only been two weeks since I treated my headlights and there has been no visible deterioration in that short time span. If things deteriorate before I'm done with this car I will tack it on to this review. I have bought another kit since using this one for my daugher to use on her car. So, I would buy it again. ... show more

  • Actually quite impressive results. Easy and worth the price.
Size: 1 VEHICLE KIT
I had tried other headlight restoration kits in the past and admittedly was skeptical going into trying this one. After I got finished, after about 30-45 minutes of total time (from stepping outside to walking back inside), I was really impressed with the Cerakote results, which you can see in the before and after photos attached to this review. The vehicle's lights I restored is 10 years old and the Cerakote kit made the headlights look nearly new, and my wife says the visibility driving at night has also improved. The kit includes everything you need, even gloves, and they engineered just the right amount of chemicals/wipes to make the kit effective. The materials have sort of a strong smell, so be wary of that and consider wearing a face covering/mask if your nose or lungs are sensitive. The application and sanding of the headlights does take some effort and time, so expect for your arm(s) to be tired during that step, but it's definitely worth the elbow grease in the end. ... show more

  • Awesome! 2 vehicles look great now!
Size: 1 VEHICLE KIT
This worked great. Time will tell how long it lasts but so far i am very happy with the results. The only reason my headlights didn't come out 100% clear was because there was some fading/fog on the inside that cant be treated but see for yourself. The results were great. Saved me a ton of money without buying new headlights. Easy to use, put some elbow grease in it and follow the simple instructions. Even better is that there are plenty of you-tube videos on this product. I recommend it to anyone Second vehicle. The lights turned out looking brand new and perfect. Highly recommend this product to anyone. Anyone can follow the simple steps and also there are a ton of how to videos. I may have my kids do the next one lol. Send me a free kit Cerakote! • Excellent product!
Size: 1 VEHICLE KIT
This product does an amazing job and it is so easy anyone can do it. They have each step set up in individual packets with steps labeled on each package so you can't mess up. At first, I thought I screwed up cause after the 2nd step my headlights were very foggy. I thought i might've pressed to hard with discs. Turns out that is how it's supposed to look and that also makes 3rd step adhere better. They look fabulous and it saved me $130 from buying new headlights. The only thing that was confusing was the colors of the disc's had been changed from the video instructions to the box. Later I seen a small card inside the box that explained the disc's colors and which was which. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. Btw u use the maroon/red disc's first then the green disc 2nd which they call "grey." Overall I am very happy with the results ... show more
