I recently purchased an orage dermizax soft shell. First time wearing it and came home with a grease stain on the sleeve. Guessing from the chair lift. I tried cleaning it with a wet rag and liquid laundry detergent which was a mistake. Made the stain worse and stripped away some of the water repellancy/beeding effect. After reading the reviews, bought the Nikwax combo pack. Tech wash and TX direct. The wash liquid worked great and one bottle is good for two washes/cycles. It actually seemed to have almost removed the stain entirely. The washin water repellant liquid is good for 4 washes/cycles. I did one cycle with tech wash. Real easy, wash like you would any other clothing and replace detergent with the Nikwax tech wash. Extra rinse. I then did two cycles with TX direct, also extra rinse. Dried in between these two cycles. Happy to report the stain is barely noticeable and the patch that had lost its repallancy is now beeding up!🙏 ... show more

Worked well. Didn’t completely get it clean but it did a pretty good job! The water beads right off as it should after use. Instructions were easy to follow. No film in my washer. It was good.

As long as you carefully follow the recommendations, this stuff has always worked for my outdoor technical wear very well, usually lasts 4-5 washings, and for rainy weather (like here in Western Washington) works great!

The combination works well. Used on all my old ski gear and feel like it all has new life in it. Also takes the sweat smell out any of your gear. Water now beads on my jacket and pants.

This stuff worked great. I have a rain jacket that beads up water again and another jacket that wasn't designed to be waterproof but is now. One thing I noticed that might have made a difference. It says in the instructions to "remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser." That was fifteen minutes of rinsing and scrubbing of the detergent tray. I've heard that regular detergent will damage a DWR so I was motivated to get it clean. There was a lot of blue build-up in there. ... show more

The wash works good but the waterproofing doesn’t work as well. Washed, used the waterproofing and hung garments to dry. A couple of days later I e-biked to work in the rain. When I got to work parts of my raincoat had repelled the rain but there were areas that didn’t. Might need to use more than recommended amount.
