  • Great little budget filter
Size: Magi 200: 5 - 10 gal
I just got the NICREW Aquarium Internal Filter for my 10-gallon shrimp tank and I'm really pleased with how well it works. This submersible power filter is surprisingly strong and I like that I can customize the media chamber to fit my tank's needs. Plus, it's super affordable. I'd definitely suggest this filter to anyone looking for a dependable and budget-friendly filtration system for their aquarium. ... show more

  • Works Perfectly for My Aquarium Needs.
Size: Magi 200: 5 - 10 gal
I read many reviews before buying the Magi200. I was looking for a way to add some water movement and oxygenation to my 40 gallon. I use the rain function with the spray bar. It was easy to twist the bar to the precise angle I wanted. It's perfect. The water flow is super strong and non-variable, so be aware of that. I use it secondary to a large HOB filter, and remember, only for extra water movement. It runs quietly. Great buy for $10! ... show more

It’s in a 9 gallon tank and almost too strong but it’ll be fine

  • THIS is the filter for a 5 gal up to 20!
Size: Magi 200: 5 - 10 gal
The media could not be loaded. I'm pretty sure out of all my lifetime Amazon purchases (& I'm from Seattle, y'all, when they just sold books!), this is the best. Here's enthusiastically why! •Totally quiet, as in, "person who gets rhythmic noises lodged in her head easy & thus greatly irritable" quiet. •Versatility: I bought it for the rainfall attachment, but alas, it's suitable only for a 20 gal & not even a ten. It's a strong stream, definitely audible & stressful to fish and it's nothing but disruptive in a 5-10 gal tank. I was unable to slow the flow despite a few sponge-insertion attempts. Wait that's not it though! •included is tubing with a port to adjust air flow, which lets me keep it gentle enough for Byumba's resistance training for his pending matches with the fish in the parallel aquarium. •Filter & media: my water is clearer than the glass, and labs have never been perfect but for real...it's why I'm enthusiastically reviewing it. It comes with a black, coarse bottom sponge, a tiny little basket that holds a wee sack of coal (carbon), and enough room on top for a 1/4" of sponge media or four ceramic nuggets. Adding the sponge layer helps but clogs after 6-7 days with noticeable stoppage. I'm currently trying the ceramic nuggets to enhance it & slow it down a little. •Suction: very firm, almost difficult to remove, but they're small cups. •Packaging & delivery: all good. I'm grateful to every person who's ever written a detailed review & especially posted a video or pics. I hope this helps beginner or returning small tank hobbyists, like me, who simply need to know the best quality for lowest price, esp nowadays. ... show more

  • Stopped working after 7 months
Size: Magi 200: 5 - 10 gal
Filter was great until it just stopped working 7 months after purchase. Cleans well and is not too loud, the only sound is from the water hitting water. But yeah, just died randomly, maybe it was a product error or something. ***very powerful, the stream was way too strong for my betta in her 5 gallon and had to add additional sponges to slow the flow ... show more

  • My new favorite filter! I'll definitely be using these instead of hang on backs!

This little filter is fantastic! Easy to set up and seems to work great! 10/10. I'll be adding them to my other tanks

  • Poor quality filter
Size: Magi 200: 5 - 10 gal
I had high hopes for this filter, but unfortunately most everything about it is awful. It is incredibly loud right out of the box and just kept getting louder over the course of the 6 days I used it. I tried to contact the seller about it and they just claimed I should "completely submerge it" because they tried to pawn it off on being the water making it loud even though I tried to explain it was the motor and that the device had already been completely submerged. Then they suggested I just don't use it in a bedroom. It was in our front room, not bedroom and was loud enough to disrupt activities there. Also, the solution to a loud, defective filter shouldn't be telling a customer to use it in specific rooms of their home. The description is also very inaccurate. There is no way you could use the smallest one for anything from 1 to 10 gallons. It creates far too much turbulence for many species of fish. It also can't be used in any aquarium with sand as it just sucks up your substrate. And while it states you can control the flow for bubbles, that is a simple pinch device on the hose for the bubbler. It in no way affects the filter flow or suction nor it there a switch or any way to change it. The only upsides to this device are how small and slim it is. Very easy to hide it in an aquarium. And the suction cups are fantastic. But sadly neither of those points matter with a useless filter. ... show more
