This is a great easy addition to a pond. The found shoots up about 6 inches and does filter and aerate a little water. This does t replace your main filter or aerator, but adds a nice look with water feature that doesn’t need batteries. It is lightweight and performs well. the motor works and pushes air but maybe my pond is too deep (a little over 3 ft). I keep getting gurgling at the top and very little air through the stone. I have tried shortening the provided hose to limit head pressure and even tried removing the check valve (last thing I tried) but at best i get about half the air through the stone and keep getting burps of air from under the floating solar array. It kind of works for me and if you have less depth it will probably work better for you. ... show more

This little unit worked great right out of the box, and adds some light aeration to one of our hydroponic sump tanks. We trimmed the included tubing to the right length for our tank, connected the solar plate, lowered it into the water, and it's been running great for about a week now. The media could not be loaded. excellent pond aerator, I placed it in my pond and it has solved the problem of lack of oxygen since I was having a high rate of deaths of my fish but since I placed it I have not seen any more dead fish.
