I have a teething 4-month old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd, who is adept at finding weak points of toys, and exploiting them, to the object's demise. He even gnaws on the knots of rope toys, and gradually saws his way through them. This lobster toy keeps his attention, probably partially because of the smell (which can be a little strong, to my sensitive nose), but also because of the shape/texture. I think he really enjoys the ridges and bumps all over it, and it has a lot of pieces that stick out (claws, tail, etc), that, on any other toy, would be torn off quickly. My little 11.5 lb. Chihuahua mix is a heavy chewer, and he has been able to start getting some of the ends down in less than a week. He loves this thing, and has a King Kong type like it, he does the same thing with. He will get more when needed, so good for his teeth.

While it is indestructible, my Great Dane only chews on it for a short time. She is a 110 lb 5 month old and she prefers her bones and other dog toys.

My dog loves this chew toy. I ordered this on a Thursday with Prime 2 day shipping showing it to be delivered by Saturday. I did not receive this product until the following Wednesday. I find this is happening more and more often with Amazon. And it's incredibly disappointing.
