    • Not perfect but perfect for me - cheap but attractive alternative to tile floor replacement
At $17. per pack of 20, i bought three packs to do my kitchen floor - i got extras just in case. The adhesion is not perfect - although VERY sticky indeed, some are not sticking well - but it is totally good enough for me. To avoid the cost of re-doing the whole tile floor - I would pick this again. I had a little trouble cutting them and getting them placed along the edges, but I think that's just me. I bought tacky stuff to help hold the ones down that didn't stick well, and I love the design/pattern. Be careful not to bend them as they will crease. I eventually started to use the backing papers to hold the edges because the gluey side is very sticky. ... show more

    • Difficult to get tiles to allign correctly.
First of all the tiles are GREY NOT BLUE. I sent the first box back and the second box was gray also. The label says blue but they are gray. Secondly when you’re installing the tiles there are arrows on the back to follow. The problem is the outer border which is white is not the same width on all sides. Even if you follow the arrows you have mismatches on the white border. You really have to ignore the arrows and pay strict attention that the white borders are lining up correctly. ... show more

They are not blue, but are a great accent in my blue bathroom. Easy to install. I read the reviews and used a spray adhesive - worked great. The only tile that started to come up was one I didn't use the spray adhesive. There is a pattern to them, specifically with a dark C shape in the center. Most of mine are going the same way but a few are changed. I went with the black arrows on the back of the paper - was not all lined up correctly. I think it'd look better with random turns and not all faced the same way. They are thin - very thin. Very nice for cutting to fit, but probably won't last 10+ years but since I like to redecorate I'm cool with it. For the price, I love them. ... show more

"Self Adhesive 12-Inch Vinyl Floor Tiles, 20 Tiles - 12" x 12", Light & Dark Blue Diamond": Very disappointed. I ordered 2 boxes of these tiles because I thought they were Lt. Blue/Dk. Blue (as per the "Light & Dark Blue Diamond" mentioned in the name of the tile). I was very excited because I thought it would go well with my light blue bathroom. Unfortunately, they're GREEN-ish/Grey ! ! !. Not even close to being any shade of blue. I will be returning. :-( ... show more

"You get what you pay for" unfortunately doesn't excuse the obvious lack of quality control. As a result, I suggest ordering A LOT more than you need. My bathroom needed 29 tiles to complete. I ordered 60. 6 tiles found there way into the trash because of bad cutting on my part. That means I should have had 25 extra tiles. I have 3. Why? Because, of those 60 tiles, 22 of them were unusable! Take a look at the pictures to see some examples. By far the most common defect was that the alignment of the pattern differed from tile to tile. This meant that the white border on a given tile might be very wide on one tile and very thin on another. This looked awful when put next one another (yes, I did ensure the arrow pointed the same direction) as it was very obvious that the tiles didn't line up. The first picture should give you an idea of the alignment problem between tiles.. Pictures two and three are more more extreme examples. The tile in the second picture was so far off, part of what would have been the next tile over was visible. That pattern on that tile was actually crooked. The the tile in fourth picture had no border on one side and a huge border on the opposite side. Just so there's no confusion here, the borders should be pretty uniform, especially when laying the tiles with the arrows pointing the same direction. Before laying the tiles down, I had to go through the 60 tiles, discard the completely defective tiles (see the third picture for an example...the pattern is actually folded over itself.), then sort out the tiles in order to try and find tiles that had compatible borders. Fortunately, out of the 60 tiles, I was able to sort them so that the borders were close enough. Since more tiles were off center than weren't, I also had to order the tiles so that the margin shifts were gradual from one end of the room to the other. Otherwise I would not have had nearly enough. Some tiles had a tiny variation along the edges. It was very slight but made it very hard to get some tiles to lay firmly against each other and not have a slight crack between them. Some reviewers have noted that they are very thin tiles. They are, but they aren't as thin as some. If you grab a stack of 11 or 12 sheets of decent weight copy paper, you'll get a pretty good idea of their thickness. Because they are relatively thin, you must make sure that your floor surface is absolutely smooth and absolutely flat and absolutely spotless. Any dips, imperfections, dirt, or embossed patterns in the existing floor will either push through the tile or cause it to lift if near the edges. This is true for any thin vinyl tile. The adhesion is not great but is no worse than any other peel 'n stick self adhesive tile. This is especially true for thinner tiles because they flex more. If your floor surface is ideal and you are able to lay the tiles down firmly against each other and firmly against the walls, the adhesive should be fine because the tiles won't have any room to shift. Since this is rarely the case, I suggest grabbing a tube of Liquid Nails or similar *thin* construction adhesive (otherwise the dots of glue will be visible on the top). A small drop of glue at the corners and a small bead in between will ensure the tile stay put. One other note: If the tiles are not very firmly and squarely against each other, the seam between them becomes quite noticeable. The borders are white but the tile itself is black and really makes the seam noticeable. What I ended up doing is taking a bit of gloss white silicon sealant on my finger and running it over the seams. Then I rubbed a paper towel along the seam and removed any sealant on the tile. This also pushed the sealant into the seams. The result was very good. The seams completely disappeared and were now water tight. Whether or not it was the right material to use is probably open for debate and while the outcome was great, I can't speak to how long it might stay that way. One last comment: As you read other reviews, there are many who have complained that the tiles are actually grey. These are described as blue and some pictures do make these appear to be unmistakably blue. While they definitely aren't blue, they aren't exactly grey either. If you have any blue in the room you intend to use these tiles, you'll it will bring a bit of blue out of the tile. (see the last picture). Despite being initially annoyed by the color when I got them, they actually ended up working really well. Keep in mind: These are REALLY inexpensive tiles. At 60 something cents a tile, it's hard to expect a lot. As with anything you get what you paid for. Given that, looking only at the tiles which were actually good, I would probably give them five stars (when compared to other really really cheap tiles). For these tiles, I had workarounds to remedy problems which generally speaking, are common to all self-stick tiles. The problem here is a lack of quality assurance. In order to be sure you have enough usable tiles, I suggest you purchase A LOT more than you need. Any left over tiles can be used down the road to replace damaged or shifted tiles. ... show more

I wanted to do a budget face-lift for our laundry room and found these peel and stick tiles. I used about 1.5 packs for this area and it was easy to install and line up each tile. The adhesive was a little tricky, as we put in the washer and dryer the next day and I had to re-stick one of the tiles. Otherwise it was great. ... show more
