Arrived yesterday and I tried it out right away on some large cloves. It appears to be very well made. The weight of it made quick work of crushing all the cloves - faster, easier, and safer than using the side of a knife. Dropped all the garlic into the mincer and proceeded to twist. It did the job well. This method provides more size control than a standard squeeze mincer and isn’t as hard on the hands. I’m not sure it will be a time saver. A single press of the standard mincer is quicker but this style allows the mincing of more cloves so I expect to break even. So easy to use. I have tried lots of different ways to mince garlic. I'm good at using a "chef" knife, but it takes a while. I have used a garlic "rocker." The rocker takes a lot of pressure.Not a winner! I use a mini food processor and it works great, but it's best for large amounts. This mincer is simple, fast and easy for 1-6 garlic cloves at a time. This is a must have for easily mincing garlic! Simply smash the garlic with the with the garlic twister lid, take the skins off drop into the twisters lid and twist! You will have perfect minced garlic within a minute! Make sure you pile the grated ginger into triangles in your garlic twister and spoon out the garlic. This way the garlic does not get stuck in the "teeth" for ease of cleaning. Looking forward to trying this out with ginger slices as well. I'm puerto rican and we usually use a pilon (A pilon is a Puerto Rican wood mortar with a wooden pestle used as a kitchen tool to mash up ingredients). I was tired of banging the crap out of garlic in the pilon. I saw this, the price was right, and it looked so easy to use. I LOVE IT! Garlic is smashed to whatever consistency you want depending on how many twists you do and the garlic is separated into 2 small bunches. I'm buying these as gifts for christmas!! ... show more

I have seen these all over TikTok and as someone who hates chopping garlic, it is silly to me that I didn't purchase one sooner. Super easy to use and simple enough to clean. I love that I don't have to get out a cutting board and knife just for freshly minced garlic.

I really wanted to love this and I don’t hate it. If you’re thinking of getting it you will probably love it. I just wish that perhaps the inside “teeth” were maybe a bit sharper. It definitely minces the garlic almost into a paste but I found it tedious to try and grind more than one or two garlic cloves at a time. It works much better on individual cloves so its not really a time saver. It also was harder to “turn” or grind than I expected it to be…. I really wanted to just pop in some garlic and voila! But there’s quite a bit of pressure and re-adjusting required. It almost feels “sticky” when I try to turn it. If you are trying to AVOID THE MESS of dirtying an entire cutting board to add garlic to a dish then it is probably worth it. However I use a LOT of garlic in most of my meals and I found that it was much more timely and easier to just buy a couple cheap smaller cutting boards that I can throw in the dishwasher. Seems good for people who may not want to deal with knives for whatever reason maybe lol. Easy to clean though. ... show more

I have problems in both hands but this thing really helps. Lot faster and more comfortable than using a knife and I don't have to use as much force as with a normal press. Got everyone in my family to like it too XD. Only thing is that if something is very juicy, like ginger, it doesn't grind well.
