I am using this along with some pulleys to make a kind of cable weight thing on my power rack. This is a nice piece of rope just the right diameter and just the right amount of stiffness. This would probably be great for those who just like tying knots also I suspect.

I bought this for use as prusik cord with a 1/2" tree climbing rope. It is very stiff, making it slip a lot until it locks in, then is difficult to release, so I'll say it isn't great for that.
