Not only was the Shipping SuperFast/China to Bend Oregon in 3 days. The products works exactly as described. Generating $3.80 a day zero electricity expense. I have a backup solar system on my home that I only use once a year when the snow falls and the power is out for a day or two. While the system is not running my home I run the Goldshell III on it. I found no difference in the HashRate or income earned between the wired vs wifi connection. GoldShell was a super app that makes things easy. For you solar geeks you can even program your box to run at full power while the sun is out and then drop down to low power mode when the sun goes down and you have to run on batteries. ... show more

I purchased this on amazon several days ago. The shipping time was excellent, however, the product was NOT! Prior to purchasing this, I watched multiple youtube videos on unpacking and initial setup. This particular miner has been around for at least 6 months. It arrived with firmware version 2.2.2. Accorording to the Goldshell website you are suppose to upgrade the firmware if there is a newer version located on gitlhub.com. I did this. 2.2.3 is now installed. I am a highly technical individual. I was a systems engineer with IBM. You could NEVER expect what this unit will do. In the past 24 hours since it arrived it has done SO MANY crazy things that I cannot keep up with it. The password(s) constantly get messed up. The pools disappear. The pools will connect and then disconnect within 3 miniutes. I have made sure that all of the pools ports are configured to pass/port forward the TCP ports in my router and are allowed in my internet security protection. The power LED goes from Green (good) to Red (bad) on a regular basis. I have tried restarting/pwr off-on/resetting to factory defaults/downgrading back to the original firmware). I am beyond words. Had the unit show dead on my pool after about 12 hours.... unplugged everything and let it set for about an hour. Plugged ethernet in, power supply and it fired back off,, ramped up and is working as it should for about 48 hours now..

Got this item way ahead of schedule so cudos to the seller on that. It's been having issues with cooling. Device runs 83degrees Celsius or higher in a well ventilated 72 degree F room with very open space. When looking at temps in debug some reach over 90 C on some cores This causes hash rate to drop to 580 to 610. On eco mode it runs fine. I have to run an external fan to consistently keep it in hashrate mode. Fans seem to not go really high when device warms up. I'm going to keep testing but this looks like it's going to get returned. The miner constantly overheats and can only consistently mine 100 MHS as the set fan speed is way to slow and it is not adjustable. Total waste of money, do not buy from GoldShell
