AirPods Max are definitely more than just a pair of headphones—and that’s also why they’re overpriced. They look incredibly stylish, almost like a fashion accessory, and the sound quality is excellent. That said, due to their size and flashy design, I still find myself reaching for my AirPods Pro in certain situations. Battery life is solid, and overall, they’re a great pair of headphones. The media could not be loaded. As you can see, I have an array of headphones that I use for different reasons. I also love them all for different reasons, but the Apple AirPods Max are the most impressive thing I’ve ever heard music come through. I wanted them from the day they dropped. Actually, I wanted them from the day they were announced in the Keynote presentation. I couldn’t afford them, because who can? When I got a job eight months ago that came with a generous home office stipend as part of the compensation package, I knew that these headphones would soon be mine. The noise cancellation is out of this world. I used to wear Bose Quiet Comforts every single day, and thought that the noise cancellation on those was good. I’m not saying that it wasn’t good, but after experiencing that feature on these headphones, I could never go back. I also absolutely love that with the push of a button, you can switch from noise cancellation to transparency mode, which not only turns noise cancellation off, but uses a group of different microphones to bring the outside world into your headphones, almost like hearing aids. I am hard of hearing, and I really appreciate that feature. The headphones are a little heavy, which took some getting used to. My Bose headphones were incredibly light and at times I forgot I was wearing them. You definitely don’t want to accidentally fall asleep with these on, because you will absolutely have a headache when you wake up. That is honestly the only negative thing that I can come up with, however. I prefer my regular AirPods 3rd generation when I’m cleaning or walking my dog, as well as when I’m outside, but otherwise, these are my go to headphones. The microphone is incredible! All of my colleagues say that I sound super clear in meetings, and when I am FaceTimeing with family or talking to someone that I’m gaming with I’ve only heard the same. I generally use my Kraken Kitty headset for gaming, but I’ve definitely busted out the AirPods Max as well. Obviously, there’s also no ignoring that if you’re already fully immersed in the Apple ecosystem, the convenience that comes with buying these instead of a different brand is undeniable. Being able to switch from your iPhone to your iPad to your MacBook and back to your iPhone during phone calls and while listening to music — seamlessly without having to worry about pairing — is incredibly smooth and enjoyable. It’s also great to be able to see your battery life on your screen. They also pair without issue with devices outside of the Apple ecosystem, like the Nintendo Switch! I am well aware of the fact that most people can’t just up and decide to buy a set of headphones like this, but if you’ve had them in your cart, or on a wish list for a while, and you have been saving up, but afraid to make the leap, just go ahead and leap! I love my new AirPod Max headphones. I was sitting on this purchase for over a year due to the insane price tag. Yes, they're expensive- so when I saw they were $100 off on Amazon I got them. It was the lowest price I've seen it on sale for. These headphones are very much worth your money. The quality of the sound and hardware is impressive. When I first tried it out I was still a bit skeptical if it was worth my hard earned money... until I tested out the noise cancellation. I go to a very busy gym in a big city! It is very loud in the gym and the second I put these on with noise cancellation on mode- WOW! I told my husband I'm keeping these and not returning. Music sounds impeccable, it's comfortable and aesthetically pleasing to look at/wear. If you're on the fence about these consider your needs. I use these mainly at the gym and at my office cubicle job. I don't want to hear anyone or be distracted by other noises. They're comfortable for hours of wear and the battery lasts 20+ hours fully charged. I love them. They even stand up on their own when properly put in the smart case! Room saver :D ... show more

These are amazing!! They are expensive but worth it. They are so comfy to workout in, study, clean, basically anything. I do not regret such an expensive item. They keep battery life for a long time, and have an excellent noise canceling option.

I’ve never been able to find a pair of headphones that don’t hurt my ears. I’ve tried dozens of different types of headphones over the years. The ones that I can manage to tolerate never stayed in well. Enter the AirPods Max! The noise cancellation quality for a pair of over the ear headphones is superb! Way better than I expected. I LOVE the fact that you can adjust the volume on the actual headphones and turn the noise cancellation on or off as well. The fact that you can take the ear cover off to wash it is amazing. The sound quality is good. Phone call quality is good. Battery life is good. They’re very pretty. Most importantly these are SO COMFORTABLE! I’ve even slept in them. I can’t stand to be without them to be honest. My ears don’t hurt at all no matter how long I wear them and that is something I was never able to say until now. For the price, I wish they were water resistant so I can take them paddle boarding and kayaking but that’s my only “complaint” ... show more

I love these headphones. I got them on Amazon Prime Day because I feel like they're a bit overpriced. But I really do like everything about them. My head is very sensitive to tight things like headphones or sunglasses, but these are perfect. I barely even feel that they are on my ears and I've never gotten a headache from using them. The noise canceling is excellent. I can work in a busy and noisy environment without getting distracted by the TV or people talking. The sound is great. I love how interactive the headphones are with Apple products. My dad and I use these with the Apple TV all the time.
