This is hands down the best advent calendar I have ever purchased. I have done individual calendars for my two girls ever since they were little. As they have gotten older it has been harder to find quality advent calendars for pre-teens and teenagers. My 12 year old that received this is loving it!!! She has been interested in magic for a while and these tricks do not disappoint. They are of good quality and she has mesmerized me with some...when usually I can figure them out quickly. They are not just for little kids and I feel like any magic loving age person would enjoy this. The one tricky part is the book shows you the next trick on the next page so if you don't want to know the next one ahead of time...you have to cover the page and not look. My daughter loves to be surprised so this has been easy for her to manage. I am MORE than pleased with this item and will be looking into the company's other advent calendars for the future. The good -Unique magic tricks of varying levels of ease -Videos and a book to help walk you through each magic trick -The boxes are organized neatly like little Tetris blocks inside the main box The not so good -Some of the pieces and parts for the trick are small or can be damaged pretty easily -Some of the tricks are more for mom and dad to do lol ...not as easy for the little ones Overall five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kids love it and look forward to the magic 🪄 tricks, this advent has been way better than some of the main stream character ones that are full of junk that they will never use. ... show more

My son has enjoyed opening each day to see what new magic he will learn. He is 10 and this keeps him and his friends very entertained. The instructions are very well written and easy to understand. However, there is also an instructional video you can access if you need a little extra help. We have bought magic trick kits in the past and they are ok but you end up not being able to use half the stuff because you don’t understand it or it’s so cheap that you can’t really do the trick well. The media could not be loaded. Religion: Spiritual Purchased For: 6 year old daughter This review is temporary - we are on day four so I will be back. While visually this kit has been everything I expected and maybe more - it has already delivered 1/4 a disappointment in days. My daughter was SO excited to see a card trick on day 3 and it turned out to be a complete disaster. The contents didn’t match the page description by half.     • Great collection of kid-friendly tricks.
My kids are loving this advent calendar! We've had quite a few different magic sets for kids over the years, and they have always been very disappointing - low quality materials that either break or make the secret of the trick obvious because of how poorly they are made, difficult slight-of-hand tricks that kids struggle with, etc. This set has been surprisingly opposite! We are more than halfway in, and the tricks have been easy and fun for both kids (ages 8 and 13). Some of the pieces are pretty cheap plastic, but we haven't had anything break or felt like the trick doesn't really work because of poor quality. They all work and are doable by the kids with only a little practice. A great follow-up gift to this set would be 2 cheap, identical decks of cards. A couple tricks damage the cards during the trick, so you want backups. You need 2 identical sets so that you can have 2 of the same card with the same design on the back. ... show more
