The nickel TLM 103 Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone from Neumann is a cardioid, directional microphone that features low self-noise and high sound pressure level transmission. The capsule, derived from that used in the Neumann U 87, has a cardioid pattern, is acoustically well-balanced and provides great attenuation of signals from the rear. Plus an Auray SSM-NMN Suspension Shockmount is designed to provide shock isolation for select Neumann microphones commonly used for broadcast and voiceover applications. I love the 48a of phantom power ... makes this SO much louder and clearer than the Shure 7b – without the need for Cloudlifter. To narrate my podcast I put the shockmount inside a reflection filter, on a mic stand, and then jerry-rigged foam around the whole thing to seal it in. I just put my mouth close to the pop filter. The mic cable is hooked up to my Zoom h5, acting as an audio interface, using the bus power from my Mac. The Aurary shockmount arrived broken, clearly a cheaply made product but I wasnt planning on using it anyway. The microphone itself is absolutely amazing and Amazon refunded me for the broken shock mount. Happy customer
