The camera is well made, the plastic material seems to be durable, the bracket is easy to install and the solar panel is small but effective. It was very easy to configure the camera using the Netvue App. The App is very intuitive to use, but sometimes the App does not connect to the server to enable live view - when this happens the only solution is to wait some minutes and then try again, what makes me really frustrated. The solar panel works well to keep the battery always charged, I installed the camera in my backyard where the PIR sensor is very rare to get triggered so the battery is always at 100%.     • A nice solar powered security camera, with a nice set of features.
There are a lot of security cameras on the market today, and this one has a nice feature set for this price point. It appears to have a solid build quality, installation was relatively straightforward, and it is working well so far. The motion detection seems to work well, and the video quality looks great to me. I really like the pan and tilt features that allow me to look around the area using the app. The 2 way audio is a great feature as well. Being solar powered is also a nice feature that allows this camera to be set up where there no power source. I also really like that I can use a micro SD card to store video locally, and am not required to pay cloud storage service fees to use the camera. Some of the AI features are locked behind their paid subscription service though. Overall, it's a nice security camera. ... show more

Got it because I have the NETVUE bird feeder and love it. This camera was so hard to set up, as far as the part where you have to use the camera to scan the QR off your phone. We finally got it to scan it and got it hung up. Picture quality is great. Alerts to movement but my viewing area was larger when I first got it hung up. Now I can’t get it to rotate upwards. Not sure if it’s just too cold or what. Other than that it’s worth the $60 ... show more

Finally, I have a monitoring camera for my backyard. In that area, there is no possibility of having a power outlet. With this camera, which uses solar technology, I solve the problem. After several days of use, the charging signal is 100%. The installation offers no problems look for the right place. The Android application is simple just follow the instructions, 15 minutes maximum with the corresponding tests. There are different activation modes, you have to go adjusting them to avoid false warnings. Revision of my previous opinion. Today 12/16 I am revising my previous opinion and rating. I stated that the camera does not send notifications to my phone, and this is not true. It was a mistake of mine in my phone configuration, solved this, I DO receive notifications on my phone. My degree of satisfaction is total. I apologize for not expressing the reality. The text below is not valid, again apologies to all. The negative part: The notifications do not send a notification to the phone as do other cameras (more economical) so to find out I must constantly check the phone. Unless I make a mistake. It seems that for $2.99 a month, they do notify you. That changes my rating to 3 stars. Why do I want a camera if I don't find out what's going on outside immediately? ... show more

This seems like a really great camera, as I really wanted one that had a solar panel. I didn't realize that it had its own rechargeable battery built-in, so that is even better. I went through all the instructions very carefully, downloaded their app, created my account. Then scanned the unit id QR code, then got an error to enter the unit serial number manually. So I did, then it said make sure the blue light is flashing, that you have bluetooth enabled and you are connected to your wifi on the phone etc. Then I get to the point where they want you to have the camera scan the QR code from their app. This has been a no go stopping point no matter what. I have tried it several times, held the camera up close, 1 inch, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7, 12, 24..... the camera just will not recognize the QR code on the phone in their app as it requires. I have tried this several different days and still a no go. (Yes, I did peel off the plastic on the camera lens. But to no avail. I will try again and if I get it to work, then I will update the post. Again, the features of a solar panel and rechargeable battery is exactly what I need for my remote cabin, so I'm crossing my fingers... ... show more

This camera is nice. Build quality is nice and controls work. The software was easy to use to setup and use. The signal can be weak at moment even when the router is in line of sight. The only thing I wish it did was to continuously record. I was able to setup a 128gb card but it is only for short motion recordings/images. You have to pay a subscription for any cloud recording and AI recognition. I guess that is a way to keep the hardware prices down. ... show more

Wanted one in my pastures to keep an eye on my alpacas, and this one fit the bill. Antenna work good in that they can pick up my wifi good enough. Very easy to install and the solar panel connects to the unit with a USB-C, so that's always a plus in my opinion. App controls are responsive and picture is clear. Only issue I could find is that the pic seems to be smaller while viewing in the app...I'm about 10 feet away from a tree, yet on the app, the tree looks much further away than that...Almost like your car mirror (object are closer than they appear)...Not sure why the mfg would do that, but it is what it is. ... show more
