The holes on the bottom post are on the same line from all the same sides. If you don't mind incidental contact with your screws then it's ok. Unfortunately, my screw got bent because there is another screw took that spot on the other side already. In addition, 3.6 leaves a lot of gap on the post. Another thing to consider is the bottom post is literally just a plate with a hole in it, so I'm not sure if it needs to be elevated so the wood doesn't get water damage. Another thing to consider is if you're thinking of putting a 4x4 skirt cover you might not be able to because it has the little triangles support in the middle. ... show more

Seems to be ok. Welds on it were not that clean but had to put up my pergola so I kept it. There is a gap with the lumber I got from my local home store. I kind of tightened everything up front leaving the gaps in the rear so I don't have to see the gaps. I didn't tighten up the screws in the back facing the fence. We'll see how it holds up to the weather. ... show more

I think these are great quality and designed just like the ones that cost five times as much. They even have gadgets with holes through it to mount a sunshade or anything else you would want. The pre-drilled, mounting holes and square sockets, made it easy to assemble.
