Great product, but one small issue ... The directions say to loosen and tighten the tip release screw with a flathead screwdriver, but it actually requires a hex wrench. A hex wrench is even supplied with the tool, so it's a very weird mistake in the directions. It only wasted some time to find a tiny eyeglass-size screwdriver and try it enough times to realize it wasn't going to work, so it's not at all an issue that should affect your decision to buy what is a great little tool for a reasonable price. It's just something to be aware of to avoid wasting time before getting to work. ... show more

It does what it says. It's solid heavy built good. Doesn't feel cheap at all it has so many different ways you can lock in the arms and the magnifier. Like 580 degree swivel for all three. I was expecting it to be slightly bigger end that would have made it hands down 5 stars my fault i don't know size measurements. So my mistake. But it is wonderful ... Its an engraver. Turn it on, put tip on something that you want to constructively damage, turn off when done. This is not a "Rotary Engraver". It also will not readily mark very hard metals like Tungsten. If doing the latter, start with a new tip, and 'drag' vertically across surface. Won't look the best, but will save you a lot of time and re-tracing. ... show more

I was very disappointed with how the magnifying glass arrived. The box was inside an envelope. It was crushed and the pieces were loose inside. There were supposed to be two clips to hold the things you are working on but there was only one in the box. The device came in pieces. I had to put it together by myself. This was difficult to do because you had to hold the balls on the ends of the pieces in the holes and turn the bolt. You really need three hands. But the magnifying glass is great. I got this electric engraver for me to use with some small engraving projects. It came with two tungsten carbide tips, a small hex key and two stencils. I like the fact that I can do a stroke adjustment. I have already tried it on three different surfaces: aluminum, wood and plastic. It works!

A little bit finicky with the way that the joints tighten and loosen. Lens a bit too small to look with two eyes, so you definitely miss 3D-stereoscopic view and sometimes miss the parts you are soldering. Good once you factor the inexpensive price, but both are important (especially the second), so knocking off one star ... show more
