I approve this for the Osmo pocket 3 The filters and ND filters in general overall actually do something by limiting the amount of light and it’s actually adjustable on the fly, but I wish there was actually a more malleable dial. If you need a VND 1/4 Black Mist filter, this is the one to get. Much better feel of the dial than the K&F version and it clears the camera when the gimbal closes. Plus it’s inexpensive.

I was looking for an ND filter because I use my Osmo pocket 3 a lot outside and the video is usually over exposed. This ND filter is easy to attach and remove. The Osmo pocket 3 is able to turn off with the ND filter on it which is a huge plus.

This Neewer Variable ND Filter has completely exceeded my expectations! It’s a game-changer for anyone using the Osmo Pocket 3, and I’ve already noticed a huge improvement in the quality of my footage. The ability to adjust the filter without swapping it out every time the lighting changes is such a lifesaver, especially when transitioning from sunny to shady environments on the fly. What sets this filter apart is that it not only acts as an ND filter but also adds a gentle diffusion. This really helps to soften the sharpness of digital images and manages overexposed areas beautifully. Even on my first test, I could see a big difference – my footage looked richer, smoother, and more cinematic, all without any color grading. I’m truly impressed with how much better my shots look! One of the best parts is how thin the filter is. Unlike other filters I’ve tried, this one fits perfectly even when the gimbal turns inward for storage. No need to remove it every time you turn off the camera, which is a huge plus for convenience. Now, the only challenge I’ve faced is adjusting the filter while the gimbal is active. I’d love to fine-tune the exposure by looking at the monitor while turning the filter, but I worry about putting too much pressure on the gimbal motors.
