  • Nice set at a good price
Style: Magnetic ND & Effect Filter Set
The filters are great, with a decent range of ND strengths, the magnets are strong and yet thin enough to keep one on the Osmo Pocket 3 when you turn it off (unlike some other brands, where the thickness causes the gimbal to not “park” all the way. The only slight disappointment is the mist filter, which is too strong to be of much use, in my opinion. ... show more

  • Useful and great case
Style: Magnetic ND & CPL & Effect Filte...
Comes with a nice case to hold all the filters. Very pocketable and easy to travel with. Has a decent magnet strength when taking the lens filter off and on from the Osmo Pocket 3.

  • amazing magnet strength and doesn't prevent stock gimbal lock
Style: Magnetic ND & CPL & UV Filter Set
I wrote that comparison and sent it over to the Freewell set as well Freewell set is nice, but for example anamorphic lens is has an extremely poor magnet so the first time I used it it dropped on the concrete (no damage luckily) with ND on. quality wise filters are amazing, but I also own NEEWER set, which I don't use as it doesn't have anamorphic lens ( tbh it is sold separately, but from the reviews it destroys quality) and NEEWER ND filters are magnetically incompatible with the Freewell lenses. UPD: Ok I'm revisiting this post - some more observations. Actually I like Neewer set more now. Reasons: 1. Neewer Nd Filters fit to spare stock camera protection case ND holder. 2. Neewer ND filter holds magnetically extremely well, whereas for Freewell either with anamorphic lens or with just an ND filter, it could easily detach if you swing your camera swiftly. Magnets are very weak for Freewell. 3. Neewer filters DO fit camera lens perfectly and gimbal locks normally, wheres for Freewell it does not so gimbal doesn't lock normally. 4. Freewell Anamophic lens despite it's allegedly "film look" crops and wider FOV softens picture with the same settings. Not that drastic of a difference, but noticeable especially on distant small object and textures. 5. Freewell Anamophic lens has slight color tint and warms the picture too much (or that's ND filter?) so I had to go -900 with WB in some cases with the same scene. Worth noticing, the tests were conducted 2 hours apart, so lighting could've changed and for Neewer I used ND16, wheres for Freewell I used ND32. With all that in mind I'd now recommend NEEWER set instead, from my perspective anamorphic lens not worth it in my particular case. Tests were conducted with Davinci Studio 18.6, both in DlogM and HLG for clarity. (resulting picture is basically the same, just need LUT in one case and color space transform in the other. ... show more

  • OK optically, but usage requires care.
Style: Magnetic ND/PL & CPL & UV Filter...
I will go with 3.5 stars, rounding up to 4. I was a bit curious when buying these CPL ND filters how well they would work, since the Pocket 3 lens is 20mm focal length and it is well known that polarizers are a risk on wide angle lenses for getting uneven light or vignette type effects. The polarizer effect is indeed challenging to manage (as with all wide lenses) and can darken only parts of the sky in some angles looking similar to a vignette, but polarization is still the right choice for some shots where reflections must be managed. I think I might prefer a separate set of just ND filters in many scenes, but there are definitely cases where ND and polarizer are needed at once. I will experiment with stacking of a regular ND with the PL only filter, and if that works I may move to adding PL only when needed rather than trying to use ND+PL combo filters. Overall these ND-PL filers are a decent value and do the basic job they are intended for, but I wish there was an ND8 and no ND64 in this package, as I cannot imagine using ND64 except in rare occasions, but often want ND8, ND16, or ND32 (3,4,5 stops of light reduction would be more useful to me than 4,5,or 6 that is included). The label text for the ND factor / stops of light filteres should be larger. I cannot easily read the NDx labels without effort (staring at the filters with corrected vision). The NEEWER logo text is larger than the functional labels you actually need to be able to read to choose the proper filter, which is a bit silly. If you have a glass screen protector on the pocket 3 lens, make sure to remove it before using these. I found out the hard way that some of those super thin protectors have a polarized UV coating that shows up as color banding with the polarizer stacked on top. They also reduce the magnet strength of filters grabbing the lens, even though they are extremely thin glass. Since this and all other filter packages usually have a UV protective magnetic snap on filter, that can fill in for a glass lens protector. ... show more

  • Good optical quality and versatility at the right price!
Style: Magnetic Variable ND Filter Set
Lucked out BIG time when I found these filters for 40% off so it was a no brainer purchase for me. Having tested and use this product, I would still buy these at it's non sale price for its performance and versatility. The ability to adjust ND strength gives me less filters to have to carry which is nice. There are some slight abberations on my images but the kind you see only when you're looking for them but since I only use these for videos they're pretty much unnoticeable. They're small and therefore fragile. The action on the adjustment is smooth, but not too stiff or too loose. I found it just right. However, I would NOT recommend making ND strength adjustments with the filters installed and the Pocket 3 powered on as that has the potential to damage your gimbals. That goes for any brand. Always adjust your filters with the power off and never try and manipulate the gimbals with the camera. ... show more
