We decided on the spur of the moment to finally upgrade our mattress during this past prime day sale and ended up getting a great deal on the King sized Nectar Mattress. It was half off, I’ve heard great things about these beds in the past and after carefully doing some research just to make sure it would fit our needs, decided why the heck not and purchased the bed. It came within three days and after setting up a new bed frame for it we unboxed it-which I would do with help as the box is heavy and the sealed plastic covering the bed is a little harder to get off alone, although I’m sure someone could do it by themselves but would be much easier with help. Some reviews said the bed takes days to fully inflate but ours inflated fully within moments, almost instantly. The picture attached to my review is taken not even twenty minutes after we unboxed the bed. It is firm but also has the memory foam feel that has your body sinking in slightly and conforming to your body as you lay down. I’m a shorter, bigger woman about 260 lbs and it’s just the right amount of soft and firm for me. I add that because some people have suggested that the hybrid model mattress is a better fit for larger people as the medium firm model may be too firm and uncomfortable for larger bodies. I’m so ridiculously comfortable and relaxed in this bed and have slept better than I have in quite a while so that’s not the case for me at least. My fiancé is about 190 and taller and he’s equally comfortable and satisfied with the bed. This is simply the best mattress we’ve had in ages, only to be rivaled with our old Tempur-Pedic we had years ago which was the best sleep I ever got on any mattress in my twenty some years of life. This bed is up there on that level though and more affordable so I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase. I almost returned this mattress after the first couple of days. It was so soft it caused neck and back pain the first two nights. Instructions do say to give it a few days to fully expand, but also claims that sleeping on it prematurely will not affect the final product. Obviously I knew I had to give it more time and I’m glad I did! It definitely firmed up with time and while it’s definitely on the softer side of mattresses I’ve had over the years, it’s so very comfortable. Even my husband loves it and that man would sleep on a slab of concrete if he could. I don’t know bout the cooling technology, it’s not something that really stands out in this, but then again this is my first mattress with so called “cooling technology” so I really wouldn’t know what to expect. I would say it doesn’t retain heat as long as others I’ve had. Maybe that’s all there is to it. I would definitely buy again. ... show more

What do I like most about this mattress the fact that I got it in one day, it's a beautiful thing. Unboxing was fairly easy and simple. It puffed up really quick I was surprised I was expecting it to take 3 days. I was a little bummed out when I found out there were no pillows included with the mattress. Videos I've seen of the Nectar mattress and reviews say that it comes with two pillows. But I guess that's not the fact when it's sitting in an Amazon warehouse and not in a Nectar Warehouse. The other thing that was missing in the box was the safety cutter for the plastic. That's why the four stars. No big deal about that a boy scout from way back and I always have a pocket knife on me. I bought one of these Nectar mattresses on sale back in 2019. My wife abs I have been really happy with it. It is a great price, especially if you get it on sale. It is extremely easy to set up, and shipping was super fast and easy. It is extremely comfortable, so much so that we feel bummed when we have to sleep on other people’s mattresses. The foam has not worn out as far as we can tell in the last 5 years of daily use. We are so happy with it in fact that we recently purchased a second one for our guest bedroom, and I convinced my sister to buy some for her new home as well. We weren’t bothered by any smell after a few hours of unwrapping it from its plastic sleeve. The mattress didn't take long, if I remember less than 45 min, to mold into the final shape. My back spasms have lessened for me and have a more restful sleep since the first night.
