I recently received this "Nectar Classic 12” Twin XL Mattress (New Version) - Medium Firm - Contouring Memory Foam - Cooling Top Layer - Support & Pressure-Relief - Minimal Motion Transfer - 365-Night Trial & Forever Warranty" and I've begun referring to this as "the skinny Goldilocks mattress" because it's not too firm, it's not too soft - it's just right. But it's a Twin XL, so it's the skinniest of the mattresses in the house. ;-) Unpacking was about what I expected - I've owned a couple of mattresses I ordered online in the past decade, so I knew the drill. I let it fluff up over the course of the next day, which was just fine because the bedframe was being delivered later on the day the mattress was being unpacked. I figured that should be enough time to assemble the bed and get it in place before putting the mattress on top of it for the first time and the timing worked out perfectly. This is the first twin XL I've ever tried, at least that I am certain of, but in the process of trying to find a frame and appropriately sized bedding, I learned that learned that "twin XL" is sometimes referred to as "dorm size," which might be why it reminded me of the bed I had during my first year at college. It's being set up as a guest bed, so I won't likely sleep on it very often myself (unless I get in trouble), and aside from finding twin XL bedding (and not just TWIN bedding), it's been pretty great. The frame I decided to use is a daybed and the setup is really ideal. When used as a couch, the mattress is so comfortable - I wish I could get my actual couch to be this firmness level. As far as quality goes, I ordered this mattress almost exclusively based on the brand. I purchased a Nectar mattress about a hear and a half ago and my sleep has been so much better that when I saw this mattress, I was already click-click-clicking to order it before I even realized it wasn't a queen or king. Didn't matter much to me because I already knew I liked the brand and could trust it to be a quality item. When I realized it was "twin XL," I hesitated for only a second and then decided to move forward with a previously developed plan to swap out of some furniture in the guest room. Side benefit to picking up a twin XL is that I really appreciate knowing that if I ever decide to, I can get a second bed in the same size and I use this mattress to make up half of a king size bed. I don't NEED a king size bed (or a second daybed) right now, but having the options is much better than not having them, right? In all, very pleased with this mattress and more than happy recommending it to others. ... show more

We are upgrading our teens' beds, since they have had the same big-warehouse name-brand mattresses since they outgrew their toddler beds! This mattress is a major upgrade over what they had before. We had memory foam toppers on their old mattresses, and that's definitely not needed here. The mattress is so cushy and comfortable, yet supportive at the same time. Medium firm is a good way to describe it. It arrived vacuum packed, but didn't take long to expand. I love that it's fairly deep, but not so deep we had to buy all-new sheets to fit it. It's, as Goldilocks would say, "just right." My kid is super happy with it! Might need to come back and get another one for my other teen. ... show more

I like this bed a lot. The size is a bit odd because it’s a twin XL but it fit my bedframe only hanging over a little bit. I would call it medium firm and it’s very comfortable. I will be adding mattress topper to it because I’m used to it at this point but overall it’s a very nice mattress at a great price. ... show more

While I feel the quality is outstanding for this mattress I was a bit disappointed in the comfort. The mattress is a bit more firm than I was hoping. While it is supportive I wish it had a little more give to the memory foam. Overall it was easy to setup and unpackage. I’m giving this four stars based on quality. This Nectar Premier 13” Twin Mattress - Medium Firm - Contouring Memory Foam - is delightful. We were not quite sure what to expect from a boxed and shipped memory foam mattress, but we ended up being pleasantly surprised. It was an easier choice to make considering that the mattress would be used in a guest room which doubles as an office, and we're not sure if we would have ordered such a mattress for our bedroom in the same fashion. We've both given the mattress a run for ourselves and we're closer to being willing to order one for us when the time comes. The memory foam needs about a day to puff up and air out the scent from the manufacturing process, and open windows with a high fan helps to make that process more effective. ... show more

Wow! This Nectar mattress has been amazing so far! I was impressed at how nicely packed it came and how easy it was to set up. I’ve never ordered a mattress online; I prefer to try it out in person, but the timing and situation was just right to order this one. It’s for the guest room and figured why not try it out. I have also never bought the memory foam type of mattress before, so many firsts here. I unpacked it, rolled it out, and it became a full blown mattress before my eyes. So cool! I let it be for one full day. I’ve heard people complaining about smells with foams, absolutely no odor on this one which is good cause I am the sensitive type that gets headaches from strong odors. I was a bit skeptical at first with the description of firm and how much firmness that would mean. I don’t like a log type of bed, but I also don’t want to feel like I am in a hammock with a super soft type of bed. This one turns out to be just right! It is plush and feels just dreamy to get that good night’s sleep. When you toss around there are no dents from where you just moved from like the ones you get from the spring mattresses. I also don’t feel any warmer than I would have on my spring mattress, so the cooling feature is working. I am a back and side sleeper and so far no hip or back pains upon waking up. I’ve liked it so much, I temporarily relocated to the guest room LOL Overall, I have had a very positive experience with the Nectar brand; highly recommend this mattress. Mattresses are not the type of product you purchase very frequently, but will have this brand on top of my list for next round in updating my daughter’s bedroom.
