We obtained this item because we were taking a long trip with our two grandkids and needed something to keep them preoccupied along the way. We saw this item advertised and were attracted to it because it had two screens, one for each child seated behind us. I was at first concerned with the headrest attachment system and whether it would work in our two different vehicles. It worked great in both vehicles. This DVD system worked very well for our intended travel purposes and plugged right into our 12V cigarette lighter plug. This DVD player system was well worth the price. We had no glitches or problems even with our 2 & 1/2 year old grandchild kicking the primary DVD player which was behind my seat during the trip. We did have to stop and put in a new movie at intervals but we had no problems with the system whatsoever. The remote control did work while driving with grandma flexing her arm around and between the seats to point it at the DVD player. With all being said and done....I would make this purchase again knowing what I know now about the system. ... show more

    • This is a very handy item.
It seems that most late model vehicles no longer come with CD or DVD/Blu-ray players on which one can play those they already own. It can also be used in teens' rooms when permitted.

This player is a great option for those going on long travels with young children that will be off-line. The player works plugged in and without being plugged in once charged, that is a big plus on long travels and if you live in a place that the power goes off in the winter.

    • I wouldn't recommend this screen setup!
Let's just start off by saying these screens were terrible right out of the box. There is only one DVD player on one of the screens and the other is just a screen. In reality your kids can only watch one show not separate shows. The screen with the actual DVD player only has an Hdmi out not in so you can not plug in external devices such as a roku. To connect both screens you need an big akward thick cable between your seats. At this point I was irritated with the purchase only to turn on the DVD player and check both screens to find dead green pixels in the center of one the screens. The quality of these screens is terrible video quality also not very clear at all. I would recommend looking at different screens for your kids. ... show more

I had a coupon for this so it was a wonderful price if you can get that $100 off coupon then I’d say do that it’s super easy to use the movies look wonderful it feels high quality for Amazon the sound is really good but in action packed scenes where the music and sound effects are loud you’ll hear some like staticky sounds or the sound will cut out for a couple frames and it works with burned movies so if you have home videos you have from when your kids were young on dvds it’ll read it perfectly ... show more

I purchased this item for road trips for my kids. I wanted this one specifically because it does Blu-ray which we have a lot of. I’ve had it for about a month and so far it’s been great and does exactly the job it’s meant for. It plays well and is a great distraction while riding in the car.
