-- Long story short - I had problems reordering my current multivitamin and I wanted to compare the alternatives. At the same time, I wanted to better understand the total nutrients I was taking in from all sources. To that end, I entered all the "Supplement Facts" and nutritional values from all the alternatives I was considering and all the supplements I was taking. This product was the clear winner. Not only did it have more of the nutrients I needed to supplement my diet, it did not contain excessive amounts of others. (I thought the vitamin I was taking before was providing me with needed nutrition because it made me energized and feeling good. But it was probably the absurdly high levels of B vitamins that were responsible.) -- What about the suggested serving size? - A number of reviewers here have expressed a dissatisfaction the the number of capsules in a suggested daily serving (four per day). I am not bothered by this for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it is not unreasonable. One popular whole food multivitamin I took required more capsules in total. Another only required two but a closer analysis showed me that many of the nutrients were not from the included plants but artificially produced and just added in. It just makes sense that there is going to be some volume involved if you are going to supplement your diet with freeze-dried plants instead of lab-produced chemicals. The second reason the daily suggested serving of four capsules doesn't bother me is because I only take three. A very close review my total nutritional intake tells me that I only need three. If that bothered me, I would simply split them out during the day, taking one or two at a time. -- Why just four stars? -- Nothing is perfect. I wish the cost was lower but while it is more expensive that others on Amazon (if you take four a day), it is still a lot less than comparable products not sold on Amazon. I also wish there was a little more of a couple ingredients but that is the trade off when you look for natural sources instead of chemicals that could be individually varied to a specific level. ... show more

Easy to swallow with liquid beverage. In case you didn't read it, a daily dose is four (4) capsules. Not a problem, there are plenty in a bottle to cover a month. I like the ease in taking it, a slick capsule over a dry pill, which has no taste. I researched ahead of time and found the ingredients good with my other intakes. No after taste. *** After taking 1 a day (recommended amount is 4 capsules a day) for 6 months, my husband's vitamin D was within normal ranges although still on the lower end, but his potassium level was flagged as high. This is the only thing he has changed. I'm glad he was not taking the full 4 capsules a day, as that could have put a lot of strain on his heart and other organs. I wanted to love these vitamins, but blood work results have made us rethink him taking a multivitamin at all. If he does continue a multi it will be one without potassium). *** So many multi-vitamins have excessive levels of B vitamins, which didn't appeal to me. My husband works hard in a high stress environment and doesn't always eat right so it was important to me to find him a vitamin that not only supplied the daily recommended amount of basic vitamins but also supported his heart, brain and gut. These vitamins fit the bill, and since the daily recommended dosage is 4 pills, he could start off slowly by taking 1 a day, or even 2 a day and not upset his stomach. I love that they have Turmeric (thought to support joint health), Ashwagandha (thought to help with stress and anxiety), Boron (thought to help free up testosterone and increase absorption of Vitamin D, which he was low on), Folate instead of Folic Acid, a great blend of gut enzymes and probiotics as well as a very manageable amount of B vitamins. He hasn't experienced any side effects and I can tell he has more energy since he began taking these. He will have his labs done again in a few months and I can't wait to see how these vitamins have helped. ... show more
