Bought this to replace the aging rope we had out back. The one that we had wasn't specifically made for climbing and it showed. It hurt the hand and was relatively very thin. The diameter in this rope is quite thick and it's simple to put up and take down thanks to the protected loop... for my purposes, I attached another smaller rope so that I can pull the loop loose to take it down (rainy season here). I'm sure it can weather the elements but my preference is that it lasts a bit longer. I like that they included a bag and gloves on top. ... show more

I'm really impressed with the quality of this rope and the wrapping that comes with it. It's ready to go out of the box either on to a hook or to wrap around a branch/pipe or sled handle to get going. This is going to be a fun addition to sled pulling early on & then to climbing as that strength develops. I’m impressed. It is thick, heavy, well packaged, and most of all, safe. Short of climbing up to the top of the 15 feet and letting go, you’d have a hard time hurting yourself here. Disadvantage and come up with is that the rubber sleeves at the ends could have been shrunk down a bit more as I see them slipping off. I may try to get a heat gun and see if I can shrink them on a bit tighter. Really not it matches a listing description and it's a great rope for teaching my kids to rope climb and have fun. Adults can use it too! I don't really feel like I need the gloves or bad but it's nice bonus items. Very durable thick rope. Seems like a decent value. ... show more

Its both soft and tough. I am thrilled at how the rope feels. I was concerned it would be very rough, and its not. Its strong though. It was easy to add to our grown up swingset.
