This is hands down the best purchase I've made for improving my house. Works like a dream. It was relatively easy to install. Just be aware that you need 13.5 inches clearance on both sides of the unit before you start. That was our only hiccup until we decided to just run the water lines to the outside of where we were originally going to put it. After that it was very simple and straightforward. The temperature went from 64°f to 125° in ten seconds upon turning the faucet on, and only used propane while the faucet was on. The second it was turned off the unit turns off. It has a large range of temperature settings so you can get it as hot or cool as you like. It also has an eco mode to further reduce energy usage. As well as lockout features so little hands can't change the settings. There's no leaks and it's outside so noise wouldn't be an issue for us regardless, however what noise it does produce is very minimal. If you are on the fence about buying it, do yourself and your wallet a favor and get it. You won't be disappointed ... show more

I really appreciate the smaller stature of this new water heater. The old tank took up a whole closet and it was impossible to keep the area clean!!! Replaced old 40 gallon water heater. Added more space for future cabinet. Also never ending hot water. Consistent hot water. Easy installation. Like the digital panel. Only negative is inlet and outlet was 1/2" npt. Should have been 3/4" npt. All standard water supply hook ups to and from a water heater tank are 3/4" npt. When you reduce to 1/2" and go back to 3/4" you lose water pressure. ... show more

Ranein tankless water heater is the best water heater I have ever had. I been thru a few of these over the years. Things I like about it are: it’s automatic temperature and flame control, it has a larger exhaust 3” for better heat release. Easy installation. This tankless gas water heater is not for elevation above 2,000 feet and this was not disclosed. I purchased and installed to find out after contacting the manufacturer that this would not work in our elevation. The manufacturer recommended sending this product back. We sent the item back and sent the tracking and now they are telling us that we have to contact Amazon to request a refund. This item was installed after the 30 day purchase and we are unable to request a refund. Very disappointed in the customer service and the lack of detail that would have prevented us from purchasing this item to begin with. Out a water heater and a refund. ... show more
