I originally was going to buy the donkey rocking horse until I read review pointing out that the ears do not stand up as in photo. So although the elephant was my 2nd choice, I think it is the best of the two. It has a lot of cushioning, little wooden hand grips and a safety belt. It is really cute--love the eyes and ears. Our grandson needs to wait a couple more months until he is old enough to ride it, but wanted to give it to him for Christmas. Looks well built and is adorable. I like that this toy is well made and seemingly safe. I gave it as a gift to my one year old grandson. The reason I'm not giving it a higher rating is that the ears on the donkey do not stand up as in the picture. They have no support to make them stand up so just flop down.
