🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The product is a baby swing that is well-loved by new parents, as it uses motion and music to soothe and entertain their children. The swing is versatile, being operable by power or batteries and featuring a removable seat that can be used as a rocker. However, some customers mentioned the swing struggled to maintain movement as the child grew bigger and others noted the assembly instructions could be improved.

Pros

  • 👶 Ideal for new babies, with many parents reporting their children found it soothing and entertaining.
  • 🔌 Versatile as it can be plugged in or run off batteries.
  • 🏡 Features a removable seat that can be used as a standalone rocker.
  • ✨ Has multiple settings for a personalized baby experience.

Cons

  • ⚖ The swing's movement can become minimal as the child grows, possibly due to weight.
  • 🛠 Assembly can be challenging due to insufficiently labelled parts and unclear instructions.
  • 🎁 The product is quite bulky, making it difficult to bring around.

Should I Buy It?

If you're a new parent in need of a tool to soothe and entertain your baby, this product is highly recommended. While it does present some challenges in assembly and mobility due to its size, the benefits it provides outweigh the cons. Consider the physical constraints of your home and your ability to assemble products when making your decision.

  • Best swing yet
Color: Winselt
We got this swing for the baby we had in April, and have loved it so far. It was on sale just before we had her, so we went for it! It's a great swing for the price. I love that the seat part detaches and acts as a little rocker. We have a little deck off our living room, and I can't count the number of times I've detached the seat from the frame and brought it, along with sleeping baby, out onto the deck while my toddler played outside. Such a relief to not have to wake the baby just to go play outside. Also, it's great for when she falls asleep in it before I head to bed - I just detach the seat and carry it up to the bedroom with me. It's a little heavy and unwieldy because of its size, but you'll get used to it. And I'll take that in exchange for not having to wake her to go to bed! Pros: - Plugs into the wall. - Has the trifecta of baby soothing: sound, movement, vibration. - Smooth movement - Plush, comfy infant insert. (I mean, I assume it's comfy, my 3 month old hasn't specifically said, though.) - Five point harness - Detachable seat/bouncer/rocker for lugging around the house. I'd like to add that the part of the bouncer/rocker that comes into contact with the floor is very smooth metal, so if you're on carpet, you can just drag it instead of picking it up. This is often much more fluid than trying to carry it since it is so big, and results in fewer baby disturbances. - Can face three different directions for side-to-side or back-and-forth swinging. Cons: - Mobile doesn't move - Bouncer/rocker part is heavy - Frame has a huge footprint - The vibration on the bouncer/rocker part is very loud - I mean like a small lawnmower loud. It sounds like the battery housing door is rattling or something. I've had some success mitigating the noise by stuffing a burp cloth between the battery housing and the cloth cover. It also eats batteries like a beast; I can't get more than a few hours of use out of the vibrate function before it goes kaput. - Buttons for sound settings click loudly - doesn't seem like a big deal until you're trying to cycle through nature sounds to find the white noise, just a foot from a baby you spent the last hour putting to sleep! You feel me? I also wanted to address a complaint some people have had about the swing motor making a lot of noise. I have worked in childcare for many years in several settings and I can tell you with certainty that there is no such thing as a silent swing. They work via a motorized pendulum inside the fulcrum of the swing, so of course you will ear some knocking noises. It's unavoidable. The baby won't mind, because it's rhythmic, and you'll learn to tune it out. Conclusion: really an amazing swing. Multifunctional and very stylish looking! ... show more

  • Many features that make a difference
Color: Winselt
Received this swing as a shower gift for my second child. Now 6 years later for my 3rd we knew we needed this swing again. With its many features it makes life easier with a new baby. Like the 180 swivele to change the direction the baby swings for when baby decides they dont want to rock side to side anymore but back and forth. Also being able detach the swing from its frame and take the baby anywhere around the house with you such as the bathroom or kitchen. It then becomes a rocker with a vibrating option. Its got alot of different music and nature sounds to choose from and the cushion is very comfy. My baby loves the swing and falls asleep in it often. Love that it also has the option to use batteries or plug into the wall. Have been using it with just batteries and its been swinging strong for 1 month now without needing to change it. Highly recommend this swing it is well worth the price ... show more

  • If you have the space, this swing is a must have for new parents!
Color: Sapphire
We would not have survived our first 3 months of parenthood without this swing! For his first 3 months our son took almost every nap in the swing, and even slept in it at night sometimes. Here are the pros: 1) It plugs in and runs off of batteries. Surprisingly, not many swings on the market plug in. If we had a battery-powered swing we would have burned through so many batteries. 2) It is not down on the ground. Many swings are on short frames that swing really close to the floor. I would find this problematic because you have to bend down so far to put baby in the swing and take him out. I'm 5'3" and this swing hits at about my hip or a little lower. Regardless, I don't have to bend down a ton. Also we have a pretty big dog (100 lbs lab). If the swing was close to the ground the dog could come put his face right in baby's face. With this swing, if it is not moving, the dog can look into the swing, but would have to stretch a bit to lick baby's face. At this point, the dog stays away because he has been hit by the moving swing a few times. 3) It swings in three different directions. It can swing back and forth with baby facing either side, or side-to-side with baby facing front. Sometimes our baby liked the back and forth motion, and sometimes he preferred the side-to-side. I could also change his vantage point depending on the light, how much stimulation I wanted him to have, etc. 4) The frame is very sturdy. I don't have to worry about the dog or anything else knocking the swing over or moving it. 5) The basket comes off the frame to become a rocker with the option of a vibrating seat. We didn't really use the vibrating feature very much. When I was on maternity leave, my husband would get up with the baby at 4:30 or 5 am. He would take him downstairs, feed him, play a little, and then put him back to sleep in the swing. When he left for work, he would just carry the rocker up to our bedroom and put it on the floor next to the bed with the sleeping baby. This allowed me to sleep until 7 or 8 when baby woke up again. We would also take the rocker down to our basement and put baby in it while we watched TV or were hanging out in the basement. The rocker sits pretty low to the ground so the dog can stick his face in there, but it is still very substantial and I don't have to worry about the dog tipping it over at all. The fact that it is so substantial makes it a bit heavy and awkward to carry. I didn't really like carrying it down the stairs with the baby in it, or while holding the baby. My 6' tall husband had a much easier time carrying it. I guess this is technically a con, but I would rather it be more substantial and harder to carry than cheap and flimsy. 6) It has an insert for newborns so baby's head and body isn't rolling back and forth with the swing. We took the insert out at about 2.5 months when baby could support his head pretty well and the insert seemed to create an awkward fit. Once we took the insert out, I could tell baby became much more comfortable than he had been in recent weeks. 7) Has 6 speeds. When baby was a newborn we used speeds 1 or 2, and as he got older moved up to 3 and 4. We haven't really used the 5 and 6 speeds. 8) Other features: music and white noise. These are nice to use on occasion, but I wouldn't really miss them if they weren't there. 9) Mobile: the mobile just three white bears. It doesn't turn or anything. I think a more interesting mobile would be nice. But my son seems to like the bears. Sometimes he will wake up and just stare at them or "talk" to them (it is super cute). Cons: 1) It is pretty big and takes up quite bit of space. If you live in small house or apartment with more limited space this might not work very well. 2) Akin to the size, it is not portable. You can't move the entire swing easily between rooms or easily fold it up when not in use. Again, if you are tight on space this could pose an issue. We used the swing so much that I don't think we would have ever put it away even if we could. 3) I would like a way to hang stuff from the swing. For instance, sometimes we will hang Freddy the Firefly from the swing for my son to look at or play with while in the swing. We have to use a huge Mommy hook which makes noise when it swings back and forth. 4) Some have complained about the sound the motor makes. It is very rhythmic ticking as the swing moves back and forth. I can see how this could bother some people. I think it is purposeful. The rhythmic sound is like a metronome, and I think it help lull baby to sleep. ... show more
