I needed to bring my dad’s 2006 Toyota 4Runner into the 2019 so I opted to add a Sony XAVAX1000 CarPlay enabled head unit, steering wheel control adapter, and this NATIKA IP69K. This set up works amazingly well. Let me explain my experience with back up cameras and tell you about this one. My family’s first back up camera came with our 2012 Odyssey. I was impressed with the clarity and the overall performance of it. Our other back up camera is in a Lexus LS460, and that one was just nuts with how clear it can be. It was like a real camera was used. From there I have had several rentals and loaner cars and even though they were newer cars the quality was so bad. The video quality looked like watching something recorded from the 80’s. I am not sure if it was a camera issue, screen issue or something else but they were quite bad overall. Fast forward to now and I wanted to get my dad a quality camera so it would actually help him. I picked this based on the reviews particularly about the build quality. I liked that it had multiple colors of housing, I also liked how they included different padding to adjust the angle. One thing I debated was buying this model or doing one of the cameras built into the light models. After looking for a while I decided this model was so small and so pleasing to see (meaning you don’t even notice it) that I skipped the two in one unit. I took the items to BestBuy to be installed. The first thing I did was ask the installer to look at the camera and test it out. He told me it worked great, and he was really impressed with the build quality. He said the grade of cables used, how they fed in and out of the camera, and the all the packing, extra parts and instructions were very top notch. He said sometimes he gets cameras where it is just the camera and instructions in Chinese, and this was not how NATIKA did theirs. I am not sure what setting he used for it. I think online it says it has multiple ones. I asked him for the most basic/normal view for my dad with grid lines. That is exactly what I got Overall, the camera is awesome. It is so clear in combination with the Sony head unit I bought. I recommend this to anyone who needs a backup camera for their car. You don’t have to get one of those ugly huge ones that bolt on to the license plate. This one is quite incognito and looks OEM. Are there cheaper camera out there? Maybe. However this one is pretty affordable and has delivered for me and countless other people. ... show more

Great camera. It was super easy to install and integrate into my Sony Xav-ax3200 head unit. The picture quality is on par with any other backup camera I've seen, OEM or Aftermarket, and the physical appearance is exactly what I was looking for. It blends in with the car without looking cheap. The wide-angle view is wide enough to see the bumper without needing the included shims on my 2011 Subaru Forester. The first camera I purchased did not work when installed, but upon contacting customer service they responded rapidly, provided a significant amount of troubleshooting instructions, and ultimately when those things didn't work they gave clear instructions on how to get the original order replaced. Once I confirmed the new camera was functioning they processed my refund on the replacement immediately. Regarding the camera itself and installation. I'm using the camera on a 2000 Suburban 2500 as a backup camera with a Sony XAV-AX8000 head unit. I've installed the camera relatively high, centered on the hatch. It's mounted such that I had to cut the purple wire to flip the camera vertically and also such that the integrated reverse markings were not oriented properly meaning I had to cut the green wire to remove those markings. Ultimately I like this feature and it made it simple to get the camera to work in my application. The nut is a little hard to get started on the stud on the back of the camera sometimes, but once it's started it goes on easily and seems secure. The angled spacers provided got me the field of view I was looking for. The VHB foam tape included has a gap at the top, which isn't ideal given the possibility of water collecting there, but in my application is pretty well protected. The kit is complete and the instructions are pretty good. Electrical installation varied a small amount from how it was indicated on the documents, but wasn't too challenging to figure out. The kit does not come with the pictured insulation displacement splices, which I used initially and found that they wouldn't work. The wire gauge on the harness for the camera is on the small side to work well with that style of connector. I'd suggest using crimp connectors, preferably the heat shrink sealing variety especially in areas where you connections could be exposed to weather/water. There is plenty of cable in the harness to get from the rear of the vehicle to the front even on my suburban going through the hatch and associated grommets/bulkheads. I ended up running the cable inside the edge of the headliner and around the pillar trim on the passenger side because of how cables are routed from the hatch into the chassis of the truck. Regarding performance of the camera. Ultimately from the image quality is totally adequate for a backup camera even at night. If your expectation for this is some kind of UHD cinematic video you will be disappointed. Your reverse lights will supply the illumination for the camera, so depending on application a set of LED reverse bulbs might serve you well. The reverse lights on my 20 year old suburban seem to do just fine though. The camera itself seems durable and relatively well put together and once mounted seems robust and resistant to movement. Overall if you are shopping for a backup camera and comfortable drilling a hole to get the camera installed, this is a pretty solid option. As I mentioned above the camera itself seems durable and secure in its mounting. Based on that as well as the support I received from the vendor when I ran into problems and the level of responsiveness I'd purchase this again or for another vehicle if the need arose. ... show more

I used this back up camera to replace the one that went bad in my 2006 honda odyssey. The installation was easy with the given instructions and a wiring diagram I found online. The image quality was a lot better than the oem one. The new camera did quit working 3 months after I installed it. But, after I contacted the seller/support they sent my a new one the next day. Overall I am pleased with the quality of the camera and also with the support I received. I would recommend this if your car is needing a new camera. ... show more
