    • Beautiful but the doors were so hard to get right

Looks really nice. Came in a box. All the parts were neatly labeled. Instructions were pretty detailed. I finished everything except the doors in about 25 mins or so. Unfortunately, the doors took more than an hour to fit and adjust. The screws in the instruction manual (in the part about aligning the doors) were not the ones to fiddle with. The two horizontal screws on the hinge need to be adjusted to get the depth, height and the gap between the doors right simultaneously. It was so hard that I ended up asking my husband. He fit the doors for the second unit, but instead of having the unit upright like the manual said, he placed the side where the doors needed to go on the floor so that he didn't have to hold up the door while screwing in the hinges. It took him 20 mins to get the alignment right on the unit he fixed the door for and took him an hour to fix the door I had fitted and even then it looks a tiny bit wonky. For such a thoughtfully designed piece, I wonder if the door part should be simpler or better explained. ... show more

I love the look of this cabinet. I put it together by myself in about 35 minutes. The instructions were easy to follow and it was easy to manage despite the size and weight. It appears to be sturdy for particle board furniture. The only reason I removed one star was for the scratch that was on the top. I can hide it under a lamp or vase but it's there. I do love the look and would love other pieces to match. ... show more

It’s just as pictured, and extremely solid and sturdy. The directions are easy to read and they have all the parts and everything labeled to a T. The only issue I’m having is the gap in between the doors that I can’t seem to get flush, could just be user error. But the doors are a little hard to open and close, they aren’t as smooth. Other than that it’s very cute and is super versatile, I’m happy with this purchase. I’m giving it 4 stars because of the door issues but other than that no complaints here! ... show more

I was a bit hesitant to order this because particle board furniture can be a bit touch and go as far as quality. While it won't pass for wood, it is definitely better looking than the build yourself furniture from Ikea and other big box stores. The included hardware is also great quality. The directions are easy to follow and the accompanying diagrams are clear. I especially appreciated the extra directions on how to manipulate the hinges to best level out the doors. It took me about an hour and a half to complete this by myself. The herringbone pattern of the doors is more subtle than the Amazon picture makes it look, but it is still very nice looking. I appreciate that the metal base is offset from the main cabinet: it allows the main cabinet to be flush with the wall without hitting the baseboard. Overall, this product is worth the cost. I would purchase it again if I needed something similar and would choose this company again for other furniture products. ... show more
