  • The Medline 5pack of nasal cannulas (7ft.) a bargain at $7.20 every 2.5 months!
Medline has always produced quality medical grade accessories and equipment, but also offering unbeatable prices, with a 5 pack of 7ft. Nasal Cannula adult soft touch tubing for only $6, with free shipping. We haven't had any issues with their products, and this is the second time I've ordered these cannulas from them. Here is what you get: Product Features: --------------------- Medline SuperSoft touch Nasal Cannulas, Adult 7ft. (5pack) Made of an advanced material that is soft, flexible and non-sticky. Helps reduce pressure and friction on delicate ear and face tissue. New patients are less apprehensive of wearing a cannulal Existing patients can't believe how comfortable and gentle they are to wear. Treat fewer cannula-related sores Bulky foam ear cushions are not needed Crush-resistant tubing Latex-free Product Specifications: --------------------------- Product Size: Adult 7" Brand: Medline Manuf / Supplier #: HCS4514 Cannula Curved: Yes Cannula Flared: No Intrument Grade: Soft-Touch Connection Type: Standard, Universal HPIS Code: 680_85_0_0 Air Flow: Adult liter flow 1LPM to 6LPM Disposable: Yes; ideal use for up to 14 days before replacing Crush Resistant: Yes Made with Rubber Latex: No Product Material: PVC UNSPSC: 42271709 INSTRUMENT GRADE: Soft and Flexible tubing material reduces irritation. PRODUCT TYPE: Adult Unisex PRODUCT FUNCTION: Oxygen Delivery TUBING Total Length: 7 FT (2.2m) - Overall, this is a fantastic value for a 5 pack of these nasal cannulas, as you replace each tube every 2 weeks, so a 5 pack should last you about 2 and 1/2 months if you are replacing them every 14 days as recommended. So your spending roughly $7.20 every 2 and 1/2 months with free shipping for new cannulas, not a bad deal at all I would say. ... show more

  • Not All Cannulas Are Created Equal
Hands down the best cannula I've tried. I had assumed that all cannulas were the same. When I got home from the hospital, I took the very comfortable cannula I’d been using the last couple of days with me. My concentrator came with five of them, so I hadn’t ordered any when it came time to change. I was in for a shock! The Salters Lab brand cannulas that were included were TERRIBLE! The nasal prongs weren’t curved, were too far apart for my nose and too short to stay in, anyway. I quickly ordered some different ones (Westmed # 0556) that looked more or less like the ones from the hospital. When those arrived, they were even worse! The prongs were slightly curved, but still way too far apart, with the result that they stabbed into the inside of my nose. By this point, my nostrils were very sore and I was getting desperate. I looked very closely at a lot of pictures of cannulas and read reviews. Finally, I ordered these. The prongs are perfectly curved and spaced, the material soft, yet firm enough to stay in place. I am very pleased with Medline’s cannulas. Buy them with a swivel connector to make you life easier and you’re set. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY!
I have already used a package of these, they were great. This package has an unbearable chemical smell. I tried to use one, hoping the smell would fade. It did not. Made me quite ill, and dried my nose, eyes and mouth, despite my usual humidification on the oxygen machine. I was only able to use it for an hour and a half. I tried a second one, no better. They are not returnable. DO NOT BUY! ... show more

  • Just too noisy - rewritten and downgraded July 2018
I bought these to use with a portable O2 concentrator when traveling because they have the standard connector instead of the universal connector. The standard version connects firmly to the POC which is good, where the universal easily falls off when you're active (say, when you stuff your POC under the airline seat in front of you). I quickly found that these are incredibly noisy. If you're using a pulse dose POC (as many POCs are) your breath intake is audible across a busy room at a setting of 2 or 3. At a setting of 4 it's so loud that people turn to see what the racket is. I'd never get to sleep in a hotel or cruise ship cabin using these. I can't see or feel anything odd about them, but wow are they loud! If you're just buying these to get a 7-footer with a standard connector - which I was - here's what worked for me. I got a short (about 1 foot) connector tube made to connect a humidifier bottle to a concentrator, then connected the small end to my POC. Nice snug fit. Then I inserted a cheap plastic oxygen tubing connector into the other end of the short connector tube, which also fit snugly. Then I inserted the free end of the connector to a Medline "super soft" 7 foot canula. It has the universal connector which will easily pull free of the POC (bad), but it mates reliably to the tubing connector. And it makes virtually no noise at all. Sounds complicated but it really isn't. Here's the short version: * Get a humidifier connector tube (search for ASIN B00U373N6S). Squeeze the small end firmly onto your POC's output. * Get a tubing connector (ASIN B00J5QZDHK). Insert one end into the free end of the connector tube. * Get a Medline super-soft (and super-quiet) cannula (ASIN B00KG8DVIY). Stuff the free end of the tubing connector firmly into the cannula's universal connector. That's it. You'll have a quiet, comfy and reliable connection between your nose and your POC. ... show more

  • Product is awesome, great to sleep in as the cannula portion ...
Product is awesome, great to sleep in as the cannula portion that sits on your face is very soft and flexible. It smells funny, as with all cannula but the smell goes away. I sleep with oxygen support, and I travel with it as well.
