The color is very vibrant and true to the picture. I got the purple and it is close to a pure purple. It has just a slight red undertone which was actually what I wanted. It washed well without excessive fleece shedding. I would definitely order these again. I discounted one star because the blanket was very thin which I didn't mind but I felt that it shouldn't have been $15, it was more like a $10 throw from Walmart. I got the small baby-sized blanket for my dog. If any other normal, well-adjusted people out there are thinking of doing the same, my boy is a small/medium 15lb bichon/pom mix and the small blanket is plenty big enough to wrap him into a little pup cocoon. To be totally honest, this one caught my eye because it's relatively inexpensive. You see, the furry goblin pictured really likes chewing on blankets. After finding yet another hole in one of *my* blankets, I decided he needs his own that he can destroy if he pleases — so as you can guess, I just wanted something cheap to replace. WOW!!! Washed the blanket before using and they weren't kidding when they said to wash and dry it by itself before use. There was SOOOO much lint after that the lint ball was bigger than a baseball and that's only what I scraped off after the drying. The lint trap looked like it was covered in a blanket.
