  • Fun and easy way to decorate a room - if you can afford it.
We all know about these lights by now. They are pretty easy to install and didn't take very long to get everything setup once the lights were on the wall. The app is easy to use and pick out some light presets that other users have made. I recommend using some wall putty like loctite putty strips. Can be found cheap at a local hardware store. If you're like me and like to change things up every once and a while and the wall putty makes it really easy to do. The faces are very soft and can easily be scratched, so if you do use wall putty then make sure it is secure because if it falls and hits something it'll probably scratch the face. Overall I like the lights. It's a creative fun way to decorate. Just wish they were a little cheaper in price. ... show more

  • Love it!
The media could not be loaded. There's different versions you can buy, I got the 9 triangle ones. They are easy to install just use a mounting strip (comes with a lot) and attach to wall. (Make sure they light up as you go otherwise you'll have to take them off to re attach) Once up and running they are beautiful, very bright, and look so good and sleek. Top quality app support too. I filmed this video during the day even and it looks so bright and vibrant. Colors for all the ranges of the spectrum are visible and bright! You can lower and adjust the brightness too. If I had one bad thing to say, I wish it would have been easier to install, I had to take them off and replug and use the extra strips(thankfully they gave me extra!). I made sure they lit up as I went to ensure they were on and attached (linkers). Overall: love it. Do not hesitate to get your own!! :) ... show more

  • Coolest lights ever!
The media could not be loaded. Probably the coolest thing in my house. Bought for my son who’s name starts with a T and he absolutely loves it! He can control it with his Alexa. The only thing I’ll say is use extreme caution when sticking to your wall. The tape is extremely sticky and if you don’t connect each tile together properly, then some tiles will not work. I had to practically unstick them all to find the one tile that was not installed properly and unsticking it peeled the paint right off my walls, plus you can’t reuse the tape so I had to purchase extra command tape to finish installing. But it looked super cool when done! ... show more

  • Might be overdone, but still looks awesome.
A bit pricey as far as lighting is concerned, but looks awesome. Pictures of gaming setups with these dont really do it justice. Difficult to set up by yourself, make sure you plan out putting them up on a wall before and have help if possible. The adhesive tape is very strong so you only get one or two chances before you have to buy more wall tape. You can increase brightness, change colors of the individual tiles, set it up in advance to go through certain color schemes, and it has an app where you can access other people's arrangements, color schemes etc. Very thorough product. Can be a little spotty connecting to it with the app though, but a quick manual unplugging when it doent want to connect is all it takes. ... show more

  • Overpriced but nothing else like it
I can’t give these five stars because of the price. I understand there’s nothing like this at this quality, but, in my opinion, this should be $100, maybe $130 for the Smarter, Rhythm edition. If each light panel had reactive touch feedback, then perhaps it would be worth $200. PROS: They work as intended - In concept, the product sounds simple. Still, when assembling and going through lighting playlists and scenes, I realized how difficult quality control and software management must be. The panels themselves feel like flimsy plastic, but I understand that even some expensive electronics need to be light plastic because gravity pulls things down, in this case, off the wall. I’ve had these for a week; so far, no signs of sagging, drooping, disconnecting, or anything falling off nor signs of lights flickering or “glitching.” It comes with just enough adhesive, wall mounting strips, and connectors. Also, it’s packaged with Asian/Australian, European, and American power plug adapters – you know…just in case? Customizability – I haven’t created my own scenes or playlists but from what I see in the app. it looks in-depth enough to cover what most users want. You can control colors, brightness, the speed of cycling through selected colors and adjust settings of downloaded scenes. Downloading Other People’s Scenes and Playlists – But in case you’re like me, you can go to the app’s “discover more” option and just download scenes and playlists other people created. This is MUCH easier than creating anything on your own (unless you want to do that). Alongside the preset lighting modes, downloading more scenes and playlists makes this very plug and play. CONS: The price – These are vanity, room décor items no matter how you spin it. I can’t imagine anybody getting this unless they have extra cash or receive it as a very generous gift. I’m wondering who these are for because it would be cool to see college students and little kids deck out their room with Nanoleaf light panels, but unless your family is financially “comfortable” I don’t see it happening. Unfortunate really, the high price point is narrowing the market for these. Limited options and availability – Outside of Amazon, I haven’t seen these available anywhere else; maybe I’m not looking in the right places. Also, I believe there’s a square and possibly an octagonal shape this company is making or has already made. In terms of Nanoleaf, this is the only package I can find. It would be nice if they had options for more shapes, fewer panels (at lower prices), and in different sizes. At least you can buy an expansion pack (more light panels) separately, so it’s not a complete loss. ... show more

  • Easy to install and lights are bright enough to lighten the whole room
The media could not be loaded. I put the light panels in my bedroom and I like that I can control it with my IPad Pro. It was easy to install. At first it won’t connect because I was connected to 5G. It gave me a message that it can only connect with 2G and It worked fine when I did that. The wire is also long enough to reach an outlet. My only issue is the double sided mounting tape that came with it. I did not put any double sided tape for the light panels that is in between and the light panels beside it is slipping until it finally came off. I removed Some of the light panels to put additional double sided tape and it peeled off the paint on my wall. I just bought another adhesive. I ran out of the adhesive that they provided. I have not discovered yet how to sync the music with the lights nor tried enabling the voice control. I will update once I’ve done it. ... show more
