I got these to try with my 9yo. She was SUPER excited about the nano tape craze, but these were frustrating. They are difficult to use, and most don't turn out. Maybe 1 out of 5 work, and another 1 out of 5 "last" for any appreciable time. This is consistent with other nano tape kids. We haven't found a great one.     • Great starter set but you will need refills.
This was a great starter set. My 10 yo daughter has been asking for a nano-tape kit for ages. She was so excited to finally try this. It kept her busy for an entire Saturday. That being said, by the time she finally got the hang of it and was making stuff she liked, she was out of tape. There is a learning curve, so it would be nice if the kit came with a few rolls so the kids have room to make mistakes and learn. Luckily, all the supplies are sturdy so we just need to get more nano tape, which is fairly affordable. Overall I highly recommend this for any parent of a kid who loves fidgets and squishing and sensory toys. I would not recommend this as a Christmas or birthday gift for a friend or relative however because I wouldn't want to leave their parents on the hook to buy supplies for it as soon as their kid finally got the hang of it. One final note is that the instructions were decent, but I recommend watching some YouTube videos if you plan to make water filled bubbles. Kit came with a lot of materials - Tape, Stickers, pens, glitter, etc. Lots of options, and everything looked good to start out. However, being that we have never used "nano tape", we followed the instructions carefully. While the kit comes with a lot of materials, the material amount does not seem to match up with the instructions. For example: The milk box says to cut sections of 2 in and 3 in tape. We did this, and put it all together. When it came time to put in the white clay substance, it only "filled" the milk box 1/3 of the way. Same with the slime. It does not contain enough to fill the box listed in the instructions. We had to trim it down quite a bit. And then - if you make the "cube", you do not have enough to make the "strawberry". Outside of this, it is fun to play with. I would suggest using in a spot that you don't mind getting dirty - lots of glitter and stickiness. Even messy, it is fun to use and experiment with. The included stickers are pretty funny too. Personally would not suggest for someone under 10, but teen year kids should be fine. ... show more

It is so sticky and I can’t use it I wouldn’t buy for children it is very hard to use and it always makes leaks I made a cube but after 2 minutes it turned into a circle

Practice makes perfect with this type of crafting kit. Luckily, the box comes with a big roll of tape. Unfortunately, the instructions are not great. First, the pictures are very small and it’s impossible to see if you’re doing it right. Second, the sizes that you’re instructed to cut on the tape do not correlate to what’s supposed to be the end product. For example, the cube end result shows a cube that has the slime filling the cube entirely. But if you cut the pieces as indicated in the instructions, then the cube is really big and the slime provided is really small. The cube in our picture is made with smaller sizes of tape. We’ve had the most success with making the bubbles. My daughter had fun using the kit and in the end it’s all that matters. But I don’t feel as if any of this is long-lasting, it’s double-sided tape (extremely strong double-sided tape). ... show more

    • Cute rain day activity!
Purchased for a fun activity for a pre-teen. The cute crafts are almost all for 5-8 year olds, and the older crafts are usually pretty grown up. This was so cute! I can't say that the little things will last a long time, but it was fun to deocrate and make, and a minimal of mess that wasn't expected. ... show more
