My dad loves to ride bikes, but as a disabled senior citizen, he has difficulty riding long distances comfortably. He spent a lot of time walking his last bike up hills, which lessened his enjoyment. We got rid of that bike last year because it was rusting through. I wanted to replace it with a pedal-assist model for Father’s Day, but the prices made me nearly faint. I found this one but hesitated for months: not a brand I know; not many reviews that sounded good; not many good reviews of bikes in general at this price point. Given my father’s age and usage level, though, I decided to take the plunge and get it. Virus-related shipping delays meant that I had to print a picture of it and glue it into a makeshift card, but Dad was thrilled by the prospect of riding again. When the bike came, I was tasked with assembling it, and as I am by no means mechanically-inclined, I did more than my fair share of cursing and spitting as I worked on it. It took me days to get the brakes right, and I felt bad for him that I’d bought this gift he couldn’t use. I gave it one last shot, grabbed a wrench and gave it a go—and got it. I put the key in, turned the bike on and tried it out. Wow! I was flying along our street. I actually wondered if it were too powerful for him! When Dad got on, he was a little nervous, just because things were different. He soon got the hang of it, though, and when he did, he took off. He rides every single morning now and loves that he has help going up hills. He jokes that he has a little motorcycle, just because it’s got some speed to it. I don’t know how ebike purists or hardcore bikers would rate this cycle, but Dad loves it, and that’s all that matters to me. It’s easy to operate, powerful, highly adjustable and—bonus—looks great. I like it very much; especially for an expensive purchase. Packaging: - the inside of the box was packaged very carefully to avoid damage on all components - TLD Worldwide (my vendor) did a great job of using strapping outside the box and then taking the extra step to tape the straps securing so they didn't work their way off the ends. Assembly: - It came 85% assembled, so don't worry. - The assembly was fairly straight forward. The instructions were very generic and didn't cover the steps to assemble. - The front basket "barely" lined up with the bracket. The way it folds up made me think it should do this when installed. You can achieve this feature by not attaching the bottom rear bolt to the u-bracket. I'll try to upload some pics. Having said that, I'm finding it easier to just leave it open anyway. Performance: - It is heavy. So am I at 220 lb, but it is having no trouble accelerating and carrying me on the hills of my 'hood. - Mechanically, the gears all work for manual pedaling and the brakes have all the nice features for pulling off the wheels, etc. - I haven't done any long range trips yet, but for the short range stuff, it has performed quite well. Update: we went to a multi-day music festival and it performed very well. After 5 days of usage it went to half power on the meter. I'm very pleased with this. Features: - It only has a rear stand, but there is a small lever that wasn't readily apparent. You kick it forward and it locks the stand. Kick it back and it unlocks it. - There's a nice lever under the seat that allows you to flip the seat forward for easy battery removal. - Safety: There's both a bell and an electric horn. It has some pretty low power front and rear lights that one should keep on. Aesthetics: - My "black ops" gun-metal grey/black looks bad. My wife wants her white one to have that look. It is flat charcoal color; no gloss. Love it. - The seat is quite nice and comfortable. It has complementary-colored stitching. Missing: It doesn't have the standard frame mount for a water bottle holder. I'm going to get a handle-bar mount;anyway; I want my rum and coke close at hand for these strenuous workouts.... ... show more

Ordered for my hubby. He absolutely loves it. It was easy to assemble, and preforms better than expected. The matte black is really nice. basket came two weeks later, but hubby didn't want the basket anyway. The holder on the frame holds the bike chain and lock, which was a really nice feature. Frame is sturdy and well built, should last a long time. Great bike at a good price, fast shipping too. ... show more

The service agents were very responsible at solving my bike issues. After a year, my battery and charger had some problem to be used normally. Contacted the agents and got replacements shipped. Agents are very efficient at solving these problems as long as you purchased at their branch. The bike is a decent deal compare to other branches, plus the service is define a fitful choice if you want a cheap but handy bike for transportation. I also wanna mention Krystal, she/he was really being helpful at solving my issues ... show more

The bike is what you would expect for the money. Low-end E-bike that is a lot of fun to ride. The pedal assist and throttle become unresponsive or less responsive the longer you have the bike. The battery connector is what has broken on 1 of our bikes after 6 months. This falls under the manufacturer's warranty but good luck dealing with these people on the phone. The female I spoke with was the rudest incompetent person I think I have ever dealt with. This could also be attributed to her being extremely lazy as she didn't take my name or file a claim or even look up my order. The bike is great, but the people selling it suck.
