After the 2nd use when you pump it 3 or 4 times all liquid comes out the top where the pump handle is. Bought this to replace the $5 sprayers from atwoods but it was a waste of money. I only use this for spraying meat on a smoker.

I have used it 4 or 5 times for spraying ribs and briskets. Over sized for that work but functions like well. My wife has used it more for spraying her sour dough. Would recommend to friends

*********Update to prior negative review******* **************************************************** Leaking from the pump is the result of a bad valve at the base of pump stem. It can be removed and dried, and will perform as described. I pulled my valve off and let it air dry over 24 hours; it regained shape and now sits flush on bottom. The sprayer now works like new. I believe it may have initially warped because I was using apple cider vinegar and let it sit in the bottle over several days after use. My usage is strictly for BBQ. Hopefully this will help others and they can continue to smoke beautiful cuts of meat. Blaze on my friends. ... show more

Don't waste your money - no matter what the reviews say these things are pure trash. Get a Zep sprayer and be confident. These things leak both air and liquid. I've bought three of them and returned two, I've relegated the third to a shelf to remind myself not to buy this kind of crap. If YOU need a sprayer that requires a pump because you have THAT MUCH to spray then you should be shopping for commercial grade sprayers no matter what the use. I bought this for my BBQ tool arsenal - worst gadget ever! This sprayer will not mist, it just pees out fluid or nothing at all. No matter how you adjust the spray tip it dispenses a stream or nearly nothing - certainly not a mist by the furthest stretch of the imagination. It sure does look cute I'll give it that, but it's performance is completely unacceptable. Like I said, buy a Zep sprayer. ... show more
