Although lightweight, this divider is sturdier than it first appears. It accidently tipped over on the back of a chair. I was instantly fearful it had broken some slats. Two of the slats did pop out, fully in one piece still. I was concerned about getting them back in since I had to bend them slightly to get them in the slots. I received my room divider a couple days ago. Wow! It's sturdy and well made for the price. It's distressed and perfect for Shabby Chic room. What I love is the structure that each panel has it's hinges. So I can create any shape I want. Make sense? Some review says that it's not stable. Mine is very stable and doesn't have smell either. It has a really bad chemical smell. I'm going to try to see if the smell goes away in a few days; I'll give it up to two weeks. I purchased to provide privacy around the desk where I work from home so it's right next to me and the smell is VERY strong. Will update my review if it improves. UPDATE: It's been six days now and the smell is not that noticeable anymore. I've updated my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. I can't give it five stars simply because it feels so flimsy. I would expect something a bit more study for the price. But it does look great and creates privacy so I like it a lot. ... show more

Was not the all white unit I clicked on. It was distressed unit. It arrived at condo door with top ripped out and two corners exposed and top 2ft. Tore away. Removed all packaging material to check it for defects , decide to keep it as only was one top corner was flawed. With all packaging destroyed. Nothing to return in.
