  • Very nice handheld game.

It performs better than expected.

  • Perfect Gift for All Ages!
Edition: Tetris
We got this Tetris handheld game for our niece for Christmas, and it was a huge hit! She played it all night, and the other kids couldn’t wait to take turns. It also includes other games, adding even more variety and fun. The design is easy to use, durable, and great for both kids and nostalgic adults. If you’re looking for an affordable and entertaining gift, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Bubble bobble/Rainbow Islands handheld review
Edition: Bubble Bobble
The My Arcade port of Bubble Bobble is pretty good. It's the NES version of the game. The Rainbow Islands port is also the NES version (so no "somewhere over the rainbow" music). You can either play it using a plug in mini USB or 4 batteries. It doesn't hold a charge like a phone or other game systems, so that was a minor disappointment. Overall, if you want a decent version of original Rainbow Islands that's portable, this is your best bet. One caviat is the Bubble Bobble 2 is very glitchy. It has a two player mode for some reason. The volume control goes from no sound to loud. The graphics are pretty good given the size of the screen. The games are all in full color, which is both a blessing and a curse. Some levels of Rainbow Islands where there are multiple enemies the same color as the background prove difficult. But this game is beautiful, just like my old NES. The controls do lag a bit on all the games. There are no triple rainbows or reverse scrolling on Rainbow Islands. Some of the level gravity in bubble bobble is awkward. This item is a great price for anyone who wants to play bubble bobble on the go without paying for a GBA or a DS. ... show more

  • Perfect gift
Edition: Galaga
My dad LOVES this arcade game, so when I saw they made a hand held version of it, I knew I needed to get it for him. My mom says he plays it constantly at home since I’ve given it to him.

  • Won’t turn on
Edition: Galaga
Bought this as a Christmas gift for long car rides as we were going on a long trip. I charged it the night before we were leaving and then packed it in the car in the morning. The kids wanted to play to right away but it wouldn’t turn on. I thought maybe it has to have the batteries in it so the next time we stopped for gas we bought batteries (they were super expensive because of buying them at a gas station). Got back on the road and put them in the game and it still wouldn’t work. So then we tried charging it again thinking maybe it just didn’t charge overnight. We let it charge for a few hours and still wouldn’t work. So, not only did the game not work for our road trip but we also spent money on expensive batteries that we didn’t even need in the end. ... show more

  • Not mame versions, but the best little handheld available since game & watch!
Edition: Bubble Bobble
First up, I love bubble bobble. This only thing I love more than bubble bobble is a rainbow islands. And this little unit has both games plus a BB2 or bubble symphony. I had hoped this would be a mame version of the games given this would not be a stretch of technology nowadays, but alas the versions seem to be an NES or master system port of the games. For BB, this is fine. The game plays brilliantly, all the codes are there. Even the lost caves... but for Rainbow Islands, this is disappointing as the version is a paired back and has slight lag in the music and gameplay when too many sprites on screen. But this is a small gripe for such a great value unit. The screen is sharp, the speaker is fair enough (although headphones work best), the battery life is never ending(it seems) and the buttons/joystick are very usable. The only issue is the bubble decals on the front have already started to wear after a few hours play. I live Ín the UK, so I imported both this and the arcade machine version as MyArcade only make the machines available in the US at present. Defiantly worth it. Given I have both units, I find it hard to choose which is best. But as this has 3 games and is more portable then this unit is great for on the go. Great work to MyArcade on this! ... show more
